Free Music Notes for Sister Act 2: Back In The Habit - Songs From The Motion Picture SoundtrackFree Music Review: I Love It! Hit: 5 Stars"Sister Act 2" is one of the best movies out there, and the soundtrack is what makes it just that! "The Greatest Medley Ever Told" is hilarious, "Oh Happy Day" is joyous, and "His Eye Is On The Sparrow" is pure, soulful talent. "Joyful, Joyful" and "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" are two other great songs. Ignore people like Jonathon Taylor from Longview, WA (who can't spell) and Geoffrey Himes (who wrote an editorial review for Amazon.com), who know nothing about good gospel music!
Free Music Review: Gospel and Soul: Ain't Nuthin Betta! Hit: 5 StarsI'll be honest! I don't have the CD's........yet! But everytime I watch the movies I can't help but getting up and singing with them! The Lady Soul song If My Sister's In Trouble is the best soul song I've heard in a long time! These CD's (even though I don't have them) are worth buying! I'm a religious person and in my oppinion these songs are the best way to celebrate God and Jesus! Its worth it! Gospel and Soul: Ain't Nuthin Betta!
Free Music Review: This is simply amazing!!! Hit: 5 StarsThis Soundtrack is probably the best soundtrack that was ever published! In my opinion. The peak of this whole CD is surely the "Joyful Joyful" amazing performance, an arrangement made by one of "Take 6"'s singers. "His eye is on the sparrow" also demonstrates some great vocal work, especially on behalf of the a-m-a-z-i-n-g Lauryn Hill. In my opinion, this CD reflects one the peaks of her music, and gospel music as a whole, and music at all to me. This film was the one that entered me into the music business, and i thank them and this soundtrack for that! IT IS A MUST!!!
Free Music Review: What happened? Hit: 3 StarsWhen I watched this movie, I loved it. Oh my god, I have practically learned all the dance moves to "Joyful Joyful" at the end of the movie. I thought all of the gospel hymns were incredible once sung by these children. But when I listened to the soundtrack, it was nothing like the movie. Sure it was the same songs... but it was sung differently. You could tell it was recorded in a studio, and not right on the spot. I enjoyed it much better when sung in the movie, then on the soundtrack.
Free Music Review: why not Hit: 4 StarsThis soundtrack will really only be of value to you if you've seen the movie. Granted, its a tad corny, but who doesnt love a feel good story about inter city kids finding themselves thru music? I still get a little misty when i hear "O Happy Day", "Joyful, Joyful" and "His Eye Is On The Sparrow". And, of course, who doesnt love Lauryn Hill? Dare I say no one? Sure Whoopie can butcher a perfectly good song at times, but if you listen and reflect upon the movie, it wont really matter. Just listen and be happy.
