Yes, this is a great album. However, does this sound a little TOO much like Delerium? I think so. I expected to see Rhys Fulber's name somewhere in the credits!
Still, I can clearly see Sleepthief becoming a serious force to be reckoned with. I welcome this kind of innovation. The creativity is all there. The haunting melodies are incredible! I would like to see a little more variety in the guest vocalists, but none of them really disappoint. Overall, this is a very strong debut and I look forward to future releases!

Sleepthief's CD is an ethereal mixture of downtempo electronica awash in lovely female vocals.
The lone exception is the captivating cover of Berlin's "The Metro" that will have you gyrating eagerly to its blissful beats.
If you enjoy Sleepthief I would highly recommend any CD by Delerium, as well as BENEATH THE SURFACE by Balligmingo.

Maybe i've become spoiled when it comes to the Delerium/Enigma/Deep Forest/etc. genre. I keep wanting something really fresh and exciting. Though the music and vocals are wonderful on this CD, the melodies and hooks do not stay with you beyond each listening. Good effort, but not top-notch.Free Music Review: The dawnseeker

I don't think this is a wonderful music to listen to. Previously I've listened Amethystium and Balligomingo's songs, so they are my starting point.
There are a few songs that I like in this album, the other ones simply don't pass the test.
Sometimes one can try to like a song by listening it many times, I did it, I surely did, but the result was the same.
I feel disappointed about this album.

I love almost all of the artists involved in this project. HOWEVER, this sounded so over produced it utterly lacked the creativity that these musicians and vocalist have brought to all their earlier work. It is OK but seems very mainstream targeted. I found myself bored with each track before it even got halfway through. I will try listening again, I really wanted to be knocked out by this but was underwhelmed. If you liked this, and are curious to hear something similar but more experimental try some of the other work such as Mind Fruit or Delirium's earlier stuff, and you may see what I mean.
