Free Music Notes for Sling Blade: Music From The Miramax Motion PictureFree Music Review: BAMBI LEE SAVAGE IS HOT!!! Hit: 4 Stars
THE CD OVERALL IS VERY GOOD BUT BAMBI LEE SAVAGE'S WORK OF ART ENTITLED "DARLIN" IN IT SELF IS WORTH THE PRICE OF THE CD. IF YOU LIKE EMMY LOU OR LINDA RONSTADT AND SOME COUNTRY FLAVOR, YOU'LL ABSOLUTELY LOVE "DARLIN". MY ONLY REGRET IS, I CAN'T FIND ANYTHING ELSE BY THIS TALENTED ARTIST. I GIVE THE CD 4 STARS AND "DARLIN" A PERFECT SCORE WHATEVER THAT MAY BE! MARK MAGWIRE LINCOLN, NEBRASKA
Free Music Review: Sling Blade - not exactly what I expected Hit: 3 Stars
Listening to this soundtrack, I was somewhat disappointed to find tracks not played in the movie ("Blue Waltz", Soul Dressing", "Smothered in Hugs")on the album. What should have been on the album was the track that helped create the atmosphere of the scene when Karl revisits the shed he inhabited and the delapidated house and the father that rejected him. That track, in my opinion, set up the emotion experienced by Karl when he returns to that cruel place of his upbringing. However, I am pleased that "Asylum" made it to the album as well as "Shenandoah" and "Orange Kay". In all, I think this album is average without the vital track that SHOULD HAVE been included.

WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE CD, WAS TO ME NOTHING LIKE THE MUSIC IN THE MOVIE. I LOOKED SO FOWARD TO GETTING IT BECAUSE OF LOVING THE MOVIE SO MUCH. THIS CD SOUND TRACK SOUNDS LIKE IT WAS AN AFTER THOUGHT AFTER THE MOVIE WAS MADE. NOW IM STUCK WITH IT.
