Free Music Notes for All Hope Is Gone (Special Edition CD/DVD)Free Music Review: slipknot evolved? fans devolved? Hit: 5 Stars
ok first off to those who think this album should sound like mate feed kill repeat or slipknot realize this if it did you would have spent 20 bucks on a album you already bought almost 10 years ago. i have been a maggot since theyre self titled album which i thought was great i bought m.f.k.r. it was ok (lil rough around the edges)i got iowa it sucked, i almost didnt get vol 3 because of it but i did get it it was ok it had some good songs on it now for my review of a.h.i.g. great album nuff said. slipknot has matured in not trying to be over the top gimmicky and really put together the greatest album of theyre career yes it has some stone sour in it but so what stone sour is a great band too. ok simply put if you've grown up since the first cd so have they and it shows the songs are crafted beautifully.
Free Music Review: All Hope Isn't Gone Hit: 5 Stars
At first when All Hope Is Gone came out I really couldn't even listen to it. Now about a year later I had to get over it, and realize that bands after awhile just mature there sound. That's all Slipknot is going to do what they want to do, and if no one likes it they don't care. All they are doing is staying true on what they want to do not what people want them to do that's what i like about them they stay true to themselves and no one else. All Hope Is Gone is different from all of there other cd's but in a good way. My favorite cd by Slipknot will always will be Iowa witch i have three copies of. I have to say All Hope Is Gone is a great cd all in all. The dvd is great, but could have been longer. All Hope Is Gone cd/dvd is worth the money.
Free Music Review: appreciate the talent!!! Hit: 5 Stars
We all expect great things from slipknot...with that being said, we also need to take time to appreciate their evolution. This album is amazing! But you have to listen it to more than once or even 5 times. Then you will appreciate what they have done. Take the time and listen to their amazing talent to make music.
I don't know about you but every time I have listened to an album once it's easy to say that it doesn't live up to it's expectations, but if you give it a chance you will understand that SLIPKNOT has arrived again!!!
I was skeptical at first, but then I listened to a few times and realized that it ROCKS!!!
All i can say is to give it a chance....then make your decision.
Rock out you MAGGOTS!!!!
Free Music Review: They have done it once again... Hit: 5 Stars
The Nine Master of Mayhem have once again made a Masterpeice. All Hope Is Gone, has hard hitting fast paced double-bass, riffs that make you want to break stuff, and a melody that can consume you. Asking questions that everyone should be asking themselves, blunting putting it out their...they deserve another Grammy. You don't have to growl all the time to make good quality music, and Slipknot has learned this. Corey, Shawn and Chris actually sing in this album giving it a fuller and more satisfying feel for old and new Maggots alike. You like hard hitting riffs, devastating drums, vocals that make you want sing, and thinking of things that don't normally come to mind... THIS IS THE ALBUM FOR YOU!
Free Music Review: Title tells the tale. Hit: 5 Stars
Hopefully it has become quite clear that Slipknot is not just a metal band. They are a progressive metal band, and prior to listening to this album, one would have no idea what to expect.
All Hope Is Gone is HEAVY, but it is hardly comparable to the Self-Titled, Iowa, or Vol. 3 namely because all members of the band were involved in the writing process. Of course, Joey has some amazing drum licks, that is to be expected, but some of the guitar work is phenomenal. I would not say this album as a whole is heavier than Iowa, but the song structure and general themes are much more mature. Compared to Vol. 3, there are far less acoustics, and Slipknot went back to their roots.
