In almost 10 years together their talent really shows on this album. Tight riffs, drums, good use of the different vocal styles, and excellent production.
The biggest thing to me was the natural progression they're making. This includes guitar solos (sometimes a lost concept) and delicate acoustic guitar again. An all-around great record from beginning to end. All hail Corey, Joey, James, Mick, Paul, Chris, Craig, Clown, and Sid!!
Des Moines' favorite sons are back for more, and the maggots are ready to feed!!!!

This album is a very good record. After seeing them live in VA Beach, on the Mayhem Fest, you can tell they are wicked live. Every song on here is great and it's well worth the purchase. especially on amazon. they shipped it to me the day it came out (Aug 26, 08) I was very happy 'bout that!
I love all there album's so i can't pick a favorite but this is well worth the money. If you like this album go see them live man! you wont be disappointed!

My star rating is for the cd. I'm a huge fan of each album, so I'm coming from there. This one didn't let me down. As for the bonus dvd, it was clips with little dialogue, much like an artistic piece. I would rather have seen the band talking about the recording process. Even the parts when they play aren't very long. A lot of shots of a car stuck in mud, them walking in the giant masks, still no talking. Probably won't ever watch the thing again. It is about 35 minutes long total.Free Music Review: I love it!

Love the sound, and even snuff, although slow and sounds more like a stonesour song than a slipknot one, i found it to be awesome as well. Think you should listen to it, i got into psychosocial right away, then sulfur and then some of the other tracks. Its something that shows the band still has the ability to ravage you with hard music. No offense, i heard the new metallica and this cd, and this cd is the one that amps you up. Buy it, for this price, come on... what you have to lose.Free Music Review: Slipknot scores again!

For all of you that think slipknot has ever put out a bad disc...poo on you! They may have slowed up some of their songs since Iowa...but some of the slow songs are the true emotions of Cory and the 9! Psychosocial is one of my favorite tunes from them to this day! Just buy iy or the Devil will be knocking on your door soon asking you why you didn't?! Hey it's better than Mormons or Jehova's witnesses knocking and you all know that's the truth!
