Free Music Notes for Slumdog MillionaireFree Music Review: If you liked Rahman's Slumdog soundtrack ... Hit: 5 Stars
In my opinion Rahman's work on the Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack, while fantastic, incredibly, does not represent his best work! His music in one of the latest Bollywood releases, a movie called "Delhi 6" easily tops his work in Slumdog. If you get a chance please do listen to this CD, particularly tracks 1, 6 and 7. You can find the CD by searching for "Delhi 6 Soundtrack" on Amazon or any one of the online music shopping sites. His many earlier works in movies like Roja, Bombay, etc are also noteworthy. But "Delhi 6" showcases the man's talents at the very top of his game. Enjoy!
Free Music Review: I love the music on this disc Hit: 5 Stars
I love the "SlumDog Millionaire" soundtrack. The music fits the movie perfectly. The contributions by MIA are excellent. I love the beat of "O Saya". Rahman does a good job scoring this movie. I love the pulsating beat of "Riots" and the beautiful "Latika's Theme". "Gangsta Blues" has a very unique blues sound. "Paper Planes" by MIA is a fun song too. I never heard the sound of gunfire recorded on a song. It is pretty neat. I love the upbeat track "Jai Ho" that was performed at the end of the movie. "Dreams on Fire" is a pretty romantic song. I love everything about this soundtrack.
Free Music Review: Fantastic Arangement!! Hit: 5 Stars
I will not repeat too much of what has been said. I can only echo that this soundtrack is one of the BEST I have ever heard. I'm not a regular reviewer, but I did want to add to the rating of this soundtrack as it is definitely a 5-star piece of work. I am a fan of AR Rahman, so I'm not surprised at how well put together this is. I am, however, thoroughly pleased. I also love the song by MIA - Paper Planes. One Great Song! This is totally worth buying. And after watching the movie, the soundtrack just keeps it as a memory in your head. This is Music Review: Great songs by M.I.A. and A.R. Rahman. 2 version of Paper Planes. Watch the movie to appreciate these songs even more. Hit: 5 Stars
Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack is very nice album. Most of the songs are by M.I.A. and A.R. Rahman.
A lot of the songs are fast paced (in the border of techno music), but they are good. I think you will need to watch the movie to be able to appreciate these soundtracks even more (great movie too by the way. one of the most heartfelt and touching movie/story in a while).
I specifically like, O.. Saya, Jai Ho, and both versions of Paper Planes..
And if you like M.I.A. or A.R. Rahman in general, then you should like this soundtrack..
Free Music Review: Wow! If this doesn't win the Oscar for Best Soundtrack... Hit: 5 Stars
After reading the other reviews, I realize that this music style may not be new in other parts of the worlds, but here in the US it is groundbreaking and refreshing -- a whole new beat that isn't common to American ears. Even then, the way this album has a whole weaves together such an interesting mix of rhythms makes it stand out from most any album I've ever heard. It's rare to see an album get so many positive five star reviews -- there is a reason for that. You need to hear it for yourself to fully understand (and see the movie to understand even more).
