Many of the songs are quick tempo and PERFECT for the gym. MIA's two versions of PAPER PLANES are excellent for cardio or long car rides. The soundtrack transitions into more serene music with Latika's song, an entrancing lulliby-esque song that is absolutely mesmerizing- no words just humming.
I judge CDs by the number of good songs on it. If there are 5 or less, I buy only the MP3/iTunes version. If there are 8 or more, I buy the CD. This time I went for the CD and it was completely worth it.

Slumdog Millionaire much like the lead character in the movie went beyond further to win 8 Academy Awards. A film that was spoken highly on word of mouth and I still believe it. The composer won two Academy Awards for original score and original song. He deserves it. The songs and music makes you feel good about life much like the film's spirit did about two young lovers. I enjoy the sounds of the soundtrack and I hope that they could consider adapting the soundtrack and the movie to the stage for a musical.Free Music Review: Jai Ho! Can't get enough of that song! Wish I had seen the movie sooner, as it was incredible, with the soundtrack guiding the movie through, unlike most movies where songs are just part of the movie, to have a soundtrack released. It was amazing, how the songs moved my body, like Jai Ho had almost every limb of my body dancing to it! Slumdog Millionaire was most deserved of the Oscar, for the soundtrack and song, as well as Best Picture and all the other awards. I ordered this item and paid an additional amount for expedited shipping. There is nothing to support the idea that the seller did anything to expedite the shipping. As long as it took to get this, I think I could have ordered regular shipping. I'm disappointed by what appears to me to be the seller dragging their feet in getting this out. Being a fan of AR Rahman, i did not expect to dislike the music but after listening to it i was once again awed by ARR's mastery of rhythmic elements, his ability to weave local with regional, regional with national and national with international melodies and music.
Now that i have seen the movie, it is amazing how you can appreciate the music and yet it does not take away anything or interfere with the movie.
