My husband and I watch Smallville regularly, so I recently purchased this soundtrack for him as a gift. While we love the theme song and enjoy much of the other music on the show, I did fear the the CD would contain some of the show's more metal-sounding tunes. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that this is a soundtrack of very mellow music--think of the many sweet but sad songs that are played as Clark and/or Lana stares off into space at the end of each episode. There are also two cover tunes for the older crowd: Time After Time (made famous by Cyndi Lauper, who co-wrote the song with Rob Hyman of The Hooters) and Don't Dream It's Over (Crowded House). This collection serves as great background music for relaxing or even a dinner party; recommended for other 30-something Smallville fans like us.Free Music Review: Unbelievable

In one word, unbelievable. This compilation of songs is simply awesome. There isn't a bad song on this CD, and I believe each song has its own significance to life. To know that Smallville is such a successful series, as a fan, I hope to see that the soundtrack also receives such results. I do wish a few more tracks (those that come to mind are "Invisible Man" by Theory of a Deadman and "Get Free" by The Vines, not to mention one by Dishwalla that I can't seem to remember the title) were added as well, but hey, it leaves room for a 2nd CD. For all of you that have bought this CD, or will buy this CD, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.Free Music Review: One of the great soundtrack to buy

Finally after acouple of months for the release of the soundtrack to one of the best show on T.V. right now,and I'm not dissapointed at all.My favourite song is track #4 "Superman" by Five For Fighting,which a song I can kind of relate to in many ways.And other great songs inclued the theme song "Save Me" by Remy Zero,Everything by Lifehouse and Don't Dream It's Over by Sizpence None The Richer.Loaded with the music that we hear week in and week out on this excellect show makes the Smallville soundtrack a must get for any fan of the show or any fan of this type of music.You won't be dissapointed at all.Free Music Review: Smallville Rocks...Really!

This was a great step for the TV show Smallville! The CD was great, with the classics, like "Time After Time" and "Don't Dream It's Over". Then came the sort-of Smallville themed songs, like "Save Me" and "Superman". And then, the WB added some songs that were played in the first season, like "Everything" which was the closing song for the first Smallville episode. I loved the album and I am sure it will be enjoyable for all ages. Very great car music, with some relaxing songs, and some that are great to dance to. With no question, I give this album 5 stars. Outstanding!

I recieved this for christmas this year, and have already burned a hole through it listening to it so much! Such a variety of great artists such as weezer, and remy zero. A great soundtrack even if you aren't a huge fan of the show. Highly recommend for diverse amount of GOOD music. None of the songs are there are poorly done, no need to skip over 5 to get to one good one,and no songs were just thrown in there to fill space. Great for on the road or just "chilling" and hanging out. Highly recommend to anyone that wants to buy a great cd instead of decent.
