Free Music Notes for Smallville, Vol. 1: The Talon Mix

Free Music Review: Super Soundtrack
Hit: 5 Stars

Aside from the horrible pun of my review's title, there's nothing bad about this soundtrack. I had been put off by a lot of the modern "superhero soundtracks" lately, like Spider-man and Daredevil, where the music was considerably harder edged than what I enjoy, but Smallville kept itself a little more conservative. Some songs are better than others, of course, but no song is better than "Superman" by Five For Fighting. Totally appropriate on this album and in the series.
Pick it up, you'll enjoy.

Free Music Review: They totally got it right!
Hit: 5 Stars

OMG! I just got this CD and it is exactly what I wanted it to be! They have all my favorite songs from the show, plus a few songs I didn't know yet, but really liked. I knew they had to have "Save Me" by Remy Zero, but I was totally psyched that they included "Time After Time" by Eva Cassidy, which could possibly be one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. The extras are pretty cool, and it didn't hurt that I got the Lex trading card (what a hottie!)...

Free Music Review: Awesome cd with great artists
Hit: 5 Stars

An amazing cd with breakthrough artists. VonRay has the first single off the cd with Inside Out, rising rapidly on national charts. VonRay is signed with Elektra and will be releasing their first major cd in April.
Some older songs like Weezers' Island In The Sun and Five For Fighting's Superman also add to the mix.
Anyone wanting a cd with hits of last year and new songs that are sure to rise in airplay definately needs to pick up the Smallville cd.

Free Music Review: Great album, captures the show
Hit: 5 Stars

For any fan of the show, or those interested in hearing both popular top-40 music, or those that want to listen to some music that they haven't before, this is the album. "The Talon Mix" was shamelessly plugged on the show, but, still, it is an album worth buying. Maybe make this album a part of your regular Tuesday schedule to get you ready for Smallville. Worth the money, and I don't usually say that about many CDs.

Free Music Review: Reminder of the Show
Hit: 5 Stars

If I can't watch Smallville or get a hold of a Smallville book, this CD is the next best thing to get your Smallville fix. Songs by Two Pence None the Richer, Remy Zero, an other Smallville fixtures delivers. This Smallville CD deserves a 5 for picking songs that adds to the storytelling of the show, rather than distracts. Smallville is one of the best young adult shows out there that understands what's hot in music.
