Gish is the album to buy if your a Smashing Pumpkin fan like me. I am one, the first song I heard from the album blew me away, with the guitar solos from James, and Corgan to the well writen lyrics. Darcy with great bass solos throught the album on I am one and others. The song Crush is great for relaxing and Corgans voice will make you become excited. The album is a must have. while this is an essential recording for any music fan, it only hints at the astounding achievments that the Pumpkins would attain later on. But this is definitely one of their most rocking albums. Great songs, great arrangements, and great writing grace it from top to bottom. This is the beginning of the Smashing Pumpkins' great career. The only album not built upon hype or fame this is a true masterpiece and shows off the best of the classic pumpkins. Throughout the years they have modified their sound and become very unique but this album is just great grandeur rock with awesome rocking songs and beautiful ballads. I think it would be safe to say that Gish is Smashing Pumpkins' best album. I love listening to every one of the songs on here, except maybe Day Dream, which is kind of a weird song, but it's still listenable. Some of their best songs are on here, and the melody lines are great. The guitarwork is so amazing. I don't care if you don't like The Smashing Pumpkins, get this album anyways.Free Music Review: And this was just the beginning!

Gish is the kind of album (actually, it is a one-of-a-kind album) that I saturate myself in. Just acquiesce to the music, because if you don't, your desire to do so will linger in your system until it poisons you! The Smashing Pumpkins, as my favorite band, really locked me away and through away the key with this one - poetic goth rock misted with acoustics and grunge.
