Free Music Notes for Sibling Revelry: The Best of the Smothers BrothersFree Music Review: 60's Classics Hit: 4 Stars
For all of us who are old enough to remember the 60's, this is a great reminder. A lot of the stuff on this album is directly related to the things we all hated & protested at that time. However, I bought this album mostly for one reason: CRABS WALK SIDEWAYS & LOBSTERS WALK STRAIGHT. I hadn't thought of this song in years, & somehow I got a memory about it & wanted to hear it again. It's hilarious & funny. The whole album is great, & it's a fun way to get a memory or two going. Enjoy!
Free Music Review: Wow... Hit: 4 Stars
I heard this in the car of my friend's mom and I started cracking up. I'm only 14, but I thought this was hilarious. It's really great to hear humour that doesn't involve obsenities. I loved listening to it and wanted to hear it again. The only think that made me rate it down a star was that the audience laughed a lot so sometimes you couldn't hear what they were saying. It was hilarious, though!
Free Music Review: Sibling Revelry Hit: 4 Stars
The name of this great album is, in fact, Sibling Revelry, not rivalry. This album is a great introduction to the Smothers Brothers and does not require a knowledge of folk music or much of anything else, really, to enjoy. Fairly clean and squeaky clean by today's standards.
Free Music Review: Good Old Fashioned Humor Hit: 4 Stars
This CD takes me back to watching the Smothers Brothers on TV years ago. If you miss folk singers, comedy without four-letter words and TV variety shows, then you will enjoy this as much as I did!
Free Music Review: Great CD Hit: 4 Stars
This is a great example of classic Smothers Brothers at a very reasonable price. IT even has the famous skit about Pumas under the title of Cabbage.
