These 3 musical geniuses brought their A-games to the studio and scored huge! I was a fan of all 3 because of their unique styles. never did I think they could mesh together and coexist. In addition to the bassists, the other musicians fit in well - George Duke, Poogie Bell, JD Blair, Chick Corea, etc. The way the share each other's jams - especially Classical Thump and Tutu - is just amazing. And it's almost like the songs flow from one to the next If you like Stanley, Marcus, and/or Vic, you'll love this! I think I'm gonna erase the iPod and just blast Thunder exclusively!Free Music Review: Cool jazzfunk!!

We heard the three men playing together at North Sea Jazz in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, this year. We were completely taken by surprise on how funky and dynamic it was. My husband, who had not heard any of the three before, and usually likes rock, was superenthused and I was happy I could get him more excited about jazz than usually.
The men were just Gods on the guitar, cool stances (put a beard on the three of them and they could have been the Jazz ZZ top) and they got the big hall rocking

quite simply, a tour de force from three different and excellent bassists. absolutely, totally 100% recommended. Flawless master all around. A feast for the ears. I can't suggest a single song over the others. The sounds and textures vary, but the music and musicianship is exceptional. I am grateful for this collaboration.
If this were vinyl, I'd be wearing it out.

I halfway expected this to be a full blow flurry-fest. But in reality, this album is a tasteful debut of "S.M.V." Each track is dripping with low frequencies. The boys deliver both chops and tastefulness. Get this album...you won't be disappointed. I'm going to the Cleveland concert on 8/15 and now I'm even more excited!!Free Music Review: Great stuff!

Amazing CD. I agree with most everyone else, very musical not
just let's show off. Every song is great. The sound is very
analog, great depth, finally someone who knows how to Produce
a CD. Reference quality sound. Highly recommended.
