Free Music Review: Snoop Doggy Dogg
Hit: 5 Stars

I Purchased this album recently and I am enjoying it incredibly. My Ratings for the songs are
1. Bathtub 8/10 Not A song but still good
2. G Funk Intro 9.5/10 bangin beats
3. Gin & Juice 10/10 my favourite famous song on this album
4. Tha Shiznit 10/10 A favourite, gangsta as beats with Snoop great
5. Lodi Lodi 10/10 Now this is just incredible, The beats are again amazing and Snoop's voice is nothing but amazing.
6. Murder Was The Case 10/10 Again gangsta as, with great lyrics like "rollin on a grey goose"
7. Serial Killa 9.5/10 Even though there is only one verse by Snoop the beats just about make up for it.
8. Who Am I? (What's My Name?) 10/10 My second favourite famous song
9. For All My N***** & B****** 8/10 My least favourite seeing theres so little Snoop. However the beats deserve 8/10
10 Ain't No Fun (If The Homies Can't Have None) 10/10 Even though some of the lyrics are a bit wrong I have always been a fan of this one
11. Doggy Dogg World 10/10 My third favourite famous song
12. Gz & Hustlas 10/10 A favourite in this one I think he sounds the most angry
13. Pump Pump 10/10 Great song, a bit like Tupac's Holler If Ya Hear Me.
Gz Up Hoez Down 10/10 This track was on the original version and not the reissued and I only have the reissued one but i've got this song and it's great

Snoop was so much better back in his Deathrow days, so if your gonna get another album don't just get any album. The No Limit one's aren't that bad but you need to get more of Snoop Doggy Dogg.
Albums like
Dr Dre's The Chronic
Murder Was The Case Soundtrack
Tha Doggfather
Dead Man Walkin
Death Row's Snoop Doggy Dogg Greatest Hits

He was so much more focused back then and you can't possibly be dissapointed. Anyway my overall rating for this album is 9 and a half out of 10, Peace.

Free Music Review: Snoop Will Never Be Tha Same
Hit: 5 Stars

I bought the Doggystyle CD about 3 or 4 weeks ago. I had liked Snoop's recent singles like "Drop it Like it's Hot," and "That's That" but man, his singles from 93 are, there's no other word for it, classic. The singles "Gin and Juice and "Who Am I(What's my Name)" are phenomical. Unlike some rap artists, Snoop Doggy Dogg's work is almost always good rap music whether it's from Doggystyle to Tha Blue Carpet Treatment (I have both CDs) but his music was the best on this album for some reason. It might just be because I like this album the best or because of several differences of his music style.
Pretty much every song on here has amazing funky and West Coast beats unlike a lot of his newer music. Don't get me wrong, I loved Tha Blue Carpet Treatment but most of the beats on it weren't very...funky.
Snoop Dogg can still rhyme but not quite as well as on this CD. Like Jay-Z, Snoop spits out the right words at the right time(as I said on a Reasonable Doubt review). I don't know what it is but he's just isn't the same. Doggystyle is probably one of the most worthy rap albums of being a classic along with Jay-Z's Reasonable Doubt, Dr. Dre's Chronic, and Eminem's Marshall Marthers LP.
As for his other albums... I'm not really writing this to explain them but most were quite good. Though I enjoyed Paid Tha Cost to Be Da Boss and Tha Blue Carpet Treatment, like I said, they're not the same. His next album, Tha Doggfather was a fine follow up but it's just not classic. Snoop Doggy Dogg will probably never be able to match this effort. Most of his fans know that and I think he does too. But I doubt it will be forgotten anytime soon after all of its impact. This is it. Snoop's 4x platinum Death Row Record album. A true classic, not an average modern rap CD that will be out of print in 10 more years.

Free Music Review: One of the best!!
Hit: 5 Stars

Think back to 1993 when Dr. Dre's Chronic album was the hottest album out. How many times did you hear Nuthin But a G Thang, Dre Day and Let me Ride. Snoop Doggy Dogg was his sidekick and together they made hit after hit after hit and monopolized commercial rap radio together. No one seemed hotter than Snoop Doggy Dogg at that point in time and the album he came out with was better than I could ever imagine. I remember buying this album and listening to the whole thing over and over. Some critics say this album is nothing but the Chronic Part II which is a pretty valid argument because the albums do have the same flavor but how bad can that be?? Doggystyle is a great album from top to bottom with the crazy fresh beats and the production by Dr. Dre. Each song is very crisp and vocals come thru great. Yes there is a lot of cursing, mentions of drugs, killing and disrepect of woman but if you didn't know that about Snoop before the album then you must of been living under a rock. My favorite tracks on the album would have to be Gin and Juice, Ain't No Fun, What's my Name and Doggy Dogg World. Don't worry about skipping tracks because even the skits are well done and entertaining. The one bad thing about the album i would have to say is that G'z Up Hos Down is no longer included on the album. Anyone with the first pressing has G'z Up Hos Down on it and has the messed up tracklisting with The Next Episode listed but no actual song on the album. I guess the good ol Doctor didn't clear that Isaac Hayes sample. But anyways, go pick this up, unlike many other rap artists from Southern California who made one album that had hits and just disapeared (Domino, MC Eiht) from the mainstream, this one really hits. Snoop Dogg still makes records but nothing has ever come close to this album. One of the essential albums ever in hip hop I believe.

Free Music Review: The best rap album of all time...
Hit: 5 Stars

While no rapper can ever come close to Tupac's standards (in my opinion, at least), this has got to be the most enjoyable and creative gangsta rap album ever released. And with the road hip-hop music is taking these days, it's obvious that it will never be topped. Dr. Dre's The Chronic may have stepped over the limits of what a truly great rap album can be, but he goes even further with Doggystyle. The beats are more inventive and experimental than what was presented on The Chronic; in a word, they're awesome. And they perfectly coincide with Snoop's laid-back style. Plus, unlike lots of other rap CDs, the guest appearances make it even better. This is a PERFECT album.

Every single song on the CD is terrific, but if I was forced to choose my favorite three, they'd have to be Murder Was the Case, Lodi Dodi and Who Am I. There's not really much I can say about Murder Was the Case. It's just a downright intoxicating song. It's my favorite track on the album. Lodi Dodi (which has become redundantly imitated) is one of the funniest rap songs ever written. It's nothing really eye-opening or shocking about what goes down in urban neighborhoods. It's simply a masterwork of much ado about nothing. As far as Who Am I goes, it's the signature song of the album. True, it was a little overplayed back in '93 when Doggystyle was first dropped, but it still sounds fresh as ever.

Dre and Snoop created some sort of magic when they created Doggystyle. Think of Dre as John Williams and Snoop as Steven Spielberg. Perfection. And now that it's been finally re-released in the states, there's simply no excuse not to have it if you're a music lover. Especially considering it's been digitally remastered, which makes it sound 10 times better than how it sounded back when it first was released. GET THIS ALBUM.

Free Music Review: This cannot be the same guy whose released crap like Paid tha Cost and R&G
Hit: 5 Stars

God damn it, it's just beyond my belief as to how someone who can drop a straight classic from top to bottom like this here, can then later became so terrible. Okay, so comparing everything else his done to this might be a bit harsh but he changed his style completely after Deathrow Records. Its one hell of a shame considering how talented he can be, proven by albums like this.
There is seriously, absolutely no disappointments on this album to speak of. Every track, even the ones that don't seem to have much Snoop at all are "at least" excellent by my book. The production, could actually be even better than the Chronic, nuff said there. Snoop brings to the table, his incredibly unique rapping style, with his amazingly laid-back flow/delivery which definitely is excellent with his ability to tell either "partying", "Chilled out" or hard-hitting, serious tales. Undoubtedly tracks like "Gin and Juice", "Murder Was The Case", "What's My Name" "Ain't No Fun" and "Doggy Dogg World are among the top hip hop songs of all time, all being highly classic. Though my personal favourite I'd say would have to be "Tha Shiznit". I'll say that I generally hate skits, but the ones on here aren't half bad, I don't desperately have to skip through them like I usually have to with skits, plus the guest appearances like DPG did great as well, though no way can come close to outshining Snoop.
Truly an outstanding 5 star classic. Honestly this is enough for anyone to respect Snoop fully despite the garbage he's released later in his career.
An absolute must have or any sort of hip hop fan.
