Free Music Review: Brings Back Memories
Hit: 5 Stars

This is the first album I ever got. I got it in Junior High School from a friend on cassette tape and back then I was a very casual rap fan unlike now, but I have to say I loved it. I now have the 2001 re-release with 13 tracks. Every song is a winner and definitely helped propel the rap industry into the G-Funk Era in 1993 and 1994. Snoop's drawl definitely complements Dr. Dre's awesome melodic funk. I like this one better than the Chronic, and that one bangs too! One of my favorite jams here is "For All My N----z And B---es" where Tha Dogg Pound and Lady of Rage kills the track with relentless gangbanger flows over a bass heavy mobbin beat and loud whiny synths Dr. Dre popularized in the early to mid 90's. "G'z And Hustlaz" is interesting, for the beat brings in elements of rock n roll guitars and Snoop kills the track. He has one of the best flows in the game on this album. I really can't say much more that what has been already said. "Serial Killa" again brings in that whiny synth and Tha Pound and RBX bring so much heat to the table; all 3 kick such mainy flows right out the mental ward, what a classic. "Gin And Juice," "Doggy Dogg World" are what they are, classic G-Funk that stand the test of time; songs like those were repeatedly looked to for influence on other West Coast and even some southern albums in the mid 90's era. "What's My Name" definitely is bouncy, anthemic, and catchy over a P-Funk type sample, another G-Funk stable. If only rap was as passionate as Snoop, Dre and his guests were in this day of age. Timeless classic is the best way to sum up Doggystyle.

Free Music Review: Doggystyle just might be the best non-greatest hits albums ever.
Hit: 5 Stars

The legendary rapper Snoop Doggy Dogg's debut Doggystyle is without a doubt one of the best rap albums ever produced. This album and Dr. Dre's Chronic were the two albums that started the G-Funk era.Evey song on Doggystyle was basically a hit. With songs like Gin & Juice, Who am I (What's my Name), and Murder was the Case are big reasons that makes Doggystyle a great album. But those were just some of the best songs on this album. I thought every song was enjoyable to listen to.

Besides the songs on Doggystyle the production of the album was pure greatness thanks to Suge Knight. Suge has great beats in this album like one in my favorite song Gin and Juice. In my opinion Suge Knight is the best producer ever because he produced probably all the Death Row albums ever (which might be the greatest rap label ever). Death Row was a dynasty with great rappers such as 2pac, Dr. Dre, Snoop Doggy Dogg, and many more that I didn't mension.

So I hope I persuaded rap lovers why they should get this album.

5 Reasons why you should get this album:

1. Great producing by Suge Knight.
2. One of the greatest albums ever.
3. The label Death Row which was a dynasty.
4. One of the albums along with the Chronic that started the G-Funk ers.
5. And the talent that Snoop Doggy Dogg has when he raps.

Top 5 Songs:

1. Gin & Juice.
2. Who am I (What's My Name).
3. Tha Shiznit.
4. Murder was the Case.
5. Ain't No Fun (If my Homies Can't Have None).

Free Music Review: At this time he was better than 2Pac, Biggie, Nas, Jay-Z, Everybody.
Hit: 5 Stars

Dont say he wasnt, if u dont remember, i was young but i had this and the chronic before all eyez on me, and at the time this album sold out faster than any ALBUM IN THE 90'S. HE WAS THE MOST WANTED, and i bet he still would have, if he was 2 be behind Dr.dre's crafty & amazing beat's. Everybody, even THE ONE & ONLY, BIGGIE SMALLZ, wanted some of Dr.Dre, & Snoop Dogg. If your a true biggie fan, u would have noticed biggie sampled dre in things don change, in this album, on lodi dodi, snoop's singers where sayin "doggy doggy doggy, cant u see" and in biggies hypnotize, they did the same. 2Pac wanted 2 make a album with just them 2. and all because snoop dogg was the best rapper before biggie and 2pac died. his flow left u wanting more, his style was better than any MC, and nobody shined better behind Dre's beats. He and Dre put the west on the map, not nocking eazy e, a real motherf*ckin g, but dre an snoop had the East on their knee's. Gin & Juice, Who Am I, Doggy Dogg World, Tha ShiZnit, Murder Was The Case, Aint No Fun, Lodi Dodi, Even The G-Funk intro was the Sh*t. The whole album was crazy, overall, better than illmatic, ready 2 die, me against the world and the only way it would be better than life after death and all eyez on me, is if u combine it with the Chronic. those albums are more positive and lyrical, but this was more gangsta, more fly, and it can have people from every coast, East, West, 3rd Coast South, bumpin their head's. U KNOW ITS TRUE.

Free Music Review: Snoop Dogg - Doggystyle
Hit: 5 Stars

This album right here, about defined the real West Coast sound back in the 90's. This album til today, is still classic. This is when Snoop Dogg kept to his game, and kept the music real. Now I dont think hes great and is leaning towards that sellout role. But forget that, this album is great here. His best effort easily. Let me explain my thoughts on it.

Lyrics, Snoop had the music about parties, ho*s and keepin it real and weed. But Snoop did it in a way that kept people feelin his music. Snoop is definately not a lyrical rapper, his rhymes are quite simple but he spits them with style and the production he raps to is great also. A lot of the hooks are what caught people like "Gin And Juice" everyone remembers the hook from that. So Snoop got people to feel his lyrics easily.

Production, man what can I say that every beat on the album is hott. West Coast sound, definately on every track. Some of the best beats are "Gin And Juice", "Serial Killa", "Murda Was The Case", "Aint No Fun", "Who Am I" etc. Just take note, that every beat on this album is cracken and it keeps that real west coast sound to keep you listening.

Overall, this is easily Snoop Dogg's best effort and best album. Everything he does in this album is good, lyrics along with production. A must have if your a hiphop fan.

My Top 5 Songs
1.Gin And Juice
2.Serial Killa
3.Murda Was The Case
4.Who Am I
5.Aint No Fun

Free Music Review: let the DOGG take over your mind
Hit: 5 Stars

There are no words that can describe how PERFECT this album is. If you like 'The Chronic' by Dr. Dre, you'll absolutely adore this album. It has everything you need and everything you ever wanted. This is without a doubt one of the best G Funk albums ever created. This compared to 'G Funk Era' and 'The Chronic', it's impossible to say which one is the best. If you're one of those people who dislike this album, something must be wrong with you because this has easily entered Rap's Hall of Fame.

Produced by Dr. Dre, this has mind-blowing and ear-splitting beats I've ever heard in the G Funk genre. Outstanding songs to be heard on this album are: What's my Name, Gin n Juice, Tha Shiznit, Murder was the Case, Doggy Dogg World and Ain't No Fun (which is my favorite song on this album. Expect guest appearances from Dogg Pound, Dre, RBX, Lady of Rage, Warren G (basically the whole Death Row crew except for 2pac).

Out of every rap album Snoop has released, this is the best by a long shot. I wanna give props to Snoop for creating such a perfect album. This is perfect in all sorts of way and to those who don't respect Snoop, F*CK YOU.

One love
-JK Dog
