For the People who wrote how bad this album is, you are missing out. This album is to be digested, not picked and scaped for one hit, (although "president of what?" could certanly be that.) This album is brilliant. These guys really know what they are doing. If you listen to Built to Spill, Idaho, Promise Ring, and any other Indie bands, than you have the right mindset for this music. This music is filled with emotion, and some very beautiful well written songs. What can I say this has got to be one of the best, if not the best band i have ever heard. I love the voice samplings on this CD are great. This band is reall enjoyable to listen to and all the tracks are nice and varied, so it doesen't sound like you are listening to the same song again and again. I am very glad i bought this CD dont think just because you haven't heard of them, they aren't good... DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE IS VERY VERY GOOD!!!! If you love music buy this CD it is imperative!! While their sophomore release, "We Have the Facts and We're Voting Yes" is the album that brought their name to the attention of the nation, Death Cab for Cutie's debut is my personal favorite -- breathtakingly beautiful, catchy, understated, and cathartic. The lyrics are a whispering conversation with a best friend, and the lo-fi guitars and quiet melodies give the music appeal, continuity, and purpose. This is my favorite CD of all time. I didnt like this Cd the first few times i listened to it, but like pretty much all cds that stick with you, its an acquired taste. it seems I always like a CD more than this one at a time, but none of them last as long as this one. If you dont have a Death Cab cd yet- I'd get the Photo Album first. Develop a friendship with them before you buy it. But Gosh- buy it eventually. What a beautiful CD.
