Free Music Notes for Somewhere In Time (1998 Re-recording)Free Music Review: An fabulous piece of music from John Barry! Hit: 5 Stars
Along with "Dances With Wolves", "Chaplin", and "Out of Africa", this is one of Barry's greatest pieces! The main theme is unforgettable, and the rest is slow and pleasent. This is a very relaxing and emotional score - and great for a re-recording! I recommend it to all who enjoy a great piece of music.
Free Music Review: Enchanting and timeless Hit: 5 Stars
Just got home from visiting Mackinac Island and The Grand Hotel, the location for the movie SOMEWHERE IN TIME--took carriage ride etc. I wanted to actually see the setting for the movie and connect it to the music. If you have never seen the movie, rent it before buying the CD--you will fall in love with it.
Free Music Review: A bit Nostalgic Hit: 5 Stars
I loved the movie as kid as it turned me on to Rachmaninoff in the first place. Of course John Williams magic, the update and the inclusion of all the movie tracks on this collection made it a must have for any fan of the movie or an Rachmaninoff fan for that matter.
Free Music Review: Magnifcient Hit: 5 Stars
The most beautiful recording I have and one that is indicative of the movie itself (a bold statement!). It is a shame that SIT hasn't received more credit in the history of movie making. It is worth noting that this "re-recording" is a bit better than the first version IMO.
Free Music Review: A Big Fan Hit: 5 Stars
I have enjoyed the music from this movie since it came out. After not hearing the CD for years I came across it again and have been so pleased with the music. The selections are great. If you are a fan of the movie or Rachmaninoff - this is sure to please!
