Free Music Notes for Songs From Dawson's Creek [ENHANCED CD]Free Music Review: BEST BUY IN A LONG TIME Hit: 5 Stars
Dawson's Creek is a magical show. The picturesque scenes, the powerful emotions that are expressed and most of all the incredible choice of music really touch you in a profound way. The show's creators made a real effort on this CD to support artists who aren't very well known yet. Most people seem to criticize the fact that the songs that were chosen do not bring you back to the key moments of the show but I think some of them actually do. It's in a general way that you can feel the atmosphere of the show. Plus I discovered a whole deal of new artists that are, without any doubt, worth the listen. Also, it seems that there are different CD packages: I read someone's critic saying he had Dawson (James)on the inside cover and that someone he knew had Joey (Katie). Well I have Pacey (Josh). What more can I say but to buy the album if you're a fan of the show and to buy the album even if you're not a Music Review: AWESOMW Hit: 5 Stars
I REALLY LIKED THE VARIETY OF ARTISTS ON THE CD. FROM OLD TIME FAVORITES (SOPHIE!) TO NEW OR EVEN UNHEARD OR ACTS. I REALLY ENJOYED THE SELECTION OF MUSIC. IVE READ THAT A LOT OF DAWSONS' FAN'S ARE UPSET WITH NOT KNOWING ALL OF THE ARTISTS/MUSIC ON THE CD-BUT THAT'S WHY I LOVE DAWSON'S SO MUCH-THEY ARE REALLY EXPERIMENTAL, NOT ONLY IN THE ISSUES THEY EXPLORE ON THE SHOW-BUT ALSO IN THEIR MUSIC SELECTIONS. THERE ARE SOME AMAZING NEW ACTS ON THE CD, THAT IM SURE PEOPLE WOULD REALLY LOVE. I ESPECIALLY LOVED THAT SONG LETTING GO BY SOZZI. IVE NEVER HEARD OF HER, BUT HER VOICE IS BOTH HAUNTING AND CHILD-LIKE AT THE SAME TIME. MAYBE IT'S THE FACT THAT A RELATIONSHIP JUST ENDED IN MY LIFE, AND THAT I COULD RELATE, BUT I THIINK THAT EVERYONE AT SOME POINT WILL BE ABLE TO RELATE TOO. TO ALL THE DAWSON'S FANS, CHECK IT OUT-I THINK THE CD IS TOTALLY WORTH IT, NOT IN SPITE OF THE NEW ARTISTS FEATURED, BUT BECAUSE OF THEM.
Free Music Review: A fresh take on intensly gratifying Pop music Hit: 5 Stars
This CD has captured the mood of Dawson's Creek and levels unimaginable. Each song holds its own, both rhythmically & lyrically. For me the highlights on this album are: the beautufully poignant 'Feels Like Home' brought to life with Chantel Kreviazuks emotionally moving voice, Heather Nova's 'London Rain', is refreshing, upbeat, Shooter's 'Life's a Bitch is hilarious, it's brutally honest approach on life has brought bubble gum pop to it's highest peak, Niki Hassman's 'Any Lucky Penny' is the perfect blend of sweet romantisism and glorious rhythmic beat, Sozzi's 'Letting Go' brings new meaning to Diva singing a powerfully optimistic realization of an ending relationship, and the most impactfull song on the album is Adam Cohen's lyrical masterpiece 'Cry Ophelia' it's honest and comforting lyricals flow flawlessly with the beat. All in all this album is an introducton to many fuffiling new songs.
Free Music Review: This CD is the best CD I have ever gotten!! Hit: 5 Stars
Dawson's Creek is the perfect CD for anyone who's ever had a bad day b/c of "Life's a B****" and it's the perfect CD for anyone who's ever been in love and for anyone who's ever broken up w/ someone who they really loved. My favorite songs are all of them, but I especially love "did you ever love somebody" and "cry ophelia" and "feels like home" or whatever number three is. Every night the beautiful songs put me to sleep. Every emotion is displayed on this CD. i've had this CD since it was released in the Spring and still listen to it everyday and the variety that it has doesn't make it boring. And as a viewer of the show (i'm so exited the show premier comes on tonite) it displays the show well! I hope ya'll will be watching tonite on the WB!
Free Music Review: A fine, touching selection of music from the brilliant... Hit: 5 Stars
drama series! It subtly captures many of the themes and emotions from the show and immortalizes them on CD. Followers of {Dawson's Creek} will love the album -it brings back alive tender, memorable scenes and events in the lives of Dawson, Joey, Jen, and Pacey. Personally, I cannot pick out any specially favourite tracks. They're all precious; each song is so full of feeling; and they all have themes relevant and appealing to the target audience. Each tell a tale of an experience that all of us can all relate to. Although it doesn't include some songs I felt should've been, I'm quite happy with the album as it is. Even if you don't watch {Dawson's Creek}, it is worth a listen. Certainly, I'm looking forward to future compilations form the TV show!
