Free Music Notes for Songs From Dawson's Creek [ENHANCED CD]

Free Music Review: A Good Companion to the Show
Hit: 4 Stars

I think the best songs on here aren't even the *Hits* (for example "Kiss Me" and "London Rain") The little extras, like "Cry Ophelia" and "Feels Like Home" are the stand outs on this CD. I was sad to see many of the TV Show's featured songs left out, such as "I'll Be", "All I Want", but I guess this CD makes up for it. Even though I don't watch the show anymore, I still enjoy the CD, not as *soundtrack* but as a simply good CD of songs.

Free Music Review: Songs From Dawson's Creek
Hit: 2 Stars

I always believed that if you were to call something a sound track, it should actually include material that actually WAS FEATURED in the show which it represents or at least capture the mood of the series. In my opinion this "soundtrack" fails to accomplish either.

It seems like a "put something out there and see if teenagers will buy it" plan, that capitalizes on what people would see as adolesant ignorance. I hate that.

So why did I give it two stars? Well, Sophie B. Hawkins has a pretty intellegent song featured on it. Also, Chantal Kreviazuk is a gifted singer/songwriter and anything with her in it can't be all bad. Even if she didn't actually write "Feels Like Home" she sings it with a passion that is laking in the other tracks. I was wondering what either of these artists were doing in this line-up.

That's only the second and third tracks, it's all mind-numbingly downhill from there.

Free Music Review: THE NEXT BEST THING
Hit: 5 Stars

Whatever I say about this CD would be less because the excellence with which the music has been picked truly complements the show. "Lose your way" is divine , whether you are thinking of Dawson and joey at this time or someone else, it still's the best love song i have heard in a really long time . "Any Lucky Penny" gers me goin any day and "London Rain" is a lot Pacey and Joey song . Finally "Cry Othellia" is divine , anyone who has a heart will cherish this CD.

Free Music Review: great CD!
Hit: 5 Stars

This is the first tv show soundtrack I bought, and probably one of the best out there. The thing that makes this CD so great are the various music styles and the up and coming artists that are featured. Dawson's Creek is known for starting trends in slang and clothes, hopefully it'll start this kind of music trend too. My favorite songs are Lose Your Way, Life's a Bitch, Any Lucky Penny, Shimmer, Letting Go, Cry Ophelia, and I Don't Want to Wait. That's half of the songs! i had to force myself not to put the others too, they're all really good. Get this CD, it's definitely a great one.

Free Music Review: Just Amazing
Hit: 5 Stars

This is an amazing collection of favorites and new people. The songs are origional, and the collection is full of music that could easily stand on its own. Nikki Hassman's Any Lucky Penny is a sweet songs about love, while Heather Nova is always putting out great songs, like "London Rain". Paula Cole, Curtis Steigers, Sixpense None the Richer, and more amazing artists contribute to the validity of this CD as not just another Tv soundtrack. It is so much more. If you want to listen to some great up and comming artists, this CD is a must have.
