I was prepared to dismiss this collection of Mr. Rogers's songs as kids stuff, but what a pleasant surprise I got. The arrangements and performances are first-rate and the songs offer a simple, Zen-like simplicity and wisdom. It has become one of our favorite albums. You've got to hear Roberta Flack's soulful "It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood", Amy Grant's tender "It's You I Like", Maureen McGovern's confident "This is Just the Day" and Ricky Skaggs' twangy "Let's Think of Something to Do While We're Waiting". Great music, no matter your age.
