This is one of the better greatest hits cds I have ever seen. Truely a collection that spans the career of one of the most influential bands of the last 20yrs. Cornell's voice is haunting and the lyrics are so defining of the times. Out of the Seattle sound of the early 90's Soundgarden may have been the most talented of them all.
"nothing to say"is an amazing way to start a cd like this.

The absense of My Wave...I don't get it, it was a pretty big radio hit off the Superunknown album, as well as on MTV.
This is a great CD, but I would have dropped get off the snake or ty cobb in favor of My Wave.
Other than the absense of My Wave, every big hit from Badmotorfinger thru Down on the Upside is on here as well as a few early songs.

Soundgarden is definitely one of the most influential and amazing metal/grunge bands to ever roam the Earth. This CD gives you all of the greatest hits of this tour de force. Going in chronological order starting off with the groundbreaking "Nothing To Say," from 1987, you know that this is gonna be good. Things only get better from there with "Flower" from Ultramega OK and then three songs from Louder Than Love. "Jesus Christ Pose" is pretty cool pointing how rockers look down on everyone like they are Jesus. The rest of the songs are from Badmotorfinger, Superunknown, and Down on the Upside, which I didn't like as much but are still awesome. This also includes "Bleed Together" for the completest, which sucks because it is the only new song on here... Standouts include "Nothing To Say," "Hands All Over," and "Jesus Christ Pose." this cd rocks.soundgarden is a fabulous band.this highlights all the best soundgarden stuff.best songs-nothing to say,get on the snake,jesus christ pose,spoonman,the day i tried to live,black hole sun,blow up the outside world.all are great though.iif you like this[which you will!] try audioslave too.Free Music Review: Great, but expected more hits

I thought Sound Garden had more popular songs. I guess I was wrong. However, that's not to say the song's on this album aren't great because they are. The first five song's I can do without, but after that each song is incredible. The new song's are also very good. If you like this check out Chris Cornells solo record. Some very good songs on that. Also, Audioslave is great too. Anyway, this album overall rocks hard. The later song's are worthy of buying this album.
