Free Music Review: Rating for each song! Read this! It's very helpful.
Hit: 5 Stars

Here I will rate each song out of 10. Please enjoy.

Wannabe - 10/10
Their biggest hit ever! It was very popular! To me, it never gets old. It's sassy, and bubblegum pop sound is irresistable!

Say You'll Be There - 9/10
Can be boring at some parts, but it's still good. It sounds sort of oldies/country/pop!

2 Become 1 - 10/10
A song about sex, but not in a crude way at all. Very sweet, candy, teeneager sounding, but it's a slow, nice song.

Love Thing - 8/10
They should have released this! It's really catchy and sort of techno! For some reason, I think it sounds like a Macy Gray song. Very good.

Last Time Lover - 10/10
This song, is perfect in every way! It's sexy, catchy, and great! In a way, I'm glad that they didn't release it because that would have been weird. It's one of those songs that makes you glad that you bought the album.

Mama - 9.5/10
Very touching. A very popular mother's day song. It would be great to sing on Mother's day to your mom! (haha!) Some might think it's boring, so I was forced to take off half a point...! Definitely worth listening to, and it's a very long song.

Who Do You Think You Are - 7/10
Sort of catchy, and very loud sounding. Song with lots of energy! Just not even close to the best song on here. It didn't really deserve any higher than a 7.

Something Kinda Funny - 8/10
Great song. It's sort of boring, though. You'd have to listen to it 15 times before it gets stuck in your head!

Naked - 99/10
BEST SONG ON THIS ALBUM! This is my topped played song on my iPod! The should have released Sexy song, very, very, very catchy. Great for long car rides! It's very serious sounding, and full of bass. Slow song at beginning, but then it speeds up. Great.

If U Can't Dance - 6/10
Every album has it's weak point, and for this album...it's this song. I still like this song, but it's just that song that you try to like so much, that you end up not liking it even more in the end. They sound like tone-deaf robots in the beginning. You should listen to it, and maybe you'll think differently. It's kind of like a dance song, but the beat is slightly slower than most.

That was my review of the Spice Girls' debut album, 'Spice'! Hope it helped! ^_^

Free Music Review: A pop classic that is undeniably brilliant!!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

Spice Girls are the greatest pop girl group of all time!! No contest!! These girls may have been the butt of many jokes and recieved plenty of critism for their harmonies, but I think their music, especially on this album, is pop genius!!! Scary, Baby, Ginger, Posh, and Sporty make the best pop music anyone can buy in only ten songs here. They ooze with charisma, charm, fun, and originality. Buy this album or you are truly missing out!!

Spice:
1. Wannabe - The song that started it all. The song is extremly simple but insanely catchy and fun. A pop song to last a lifetime. The song is one of my least favorite though. 8/10

2. Say You'll Be There - Brilliant pop song. Plenty of sass and yearning with good harmonies. Love Emmas voice. 10/10

3. 2 Become 1 - The ballad about safe sex. This song is still great and beautiful. Harmonies are brilliant and I love the music. 10/10

4. Love Thing - The sassiest and yet perky Girl Power song on the album. The song has the funnest rap provided by Mel B. making the song an extremley fun pop song. Maybea little cheesy but it is tons of fun. 9/10

5. Last Time Lover - A sexy song with sexy vocals and interesting lyrics about second guessing sexual rendeavous. 8/10

6. Mama - A great ballad about mothers. The vocals are sweet and the harmonies beautiful. The acoustic guitar and powerful chior really take the song to a higher place. Brilliant. 10/10

7. Who Do You Think You Are? - A great song with fun lyrics and catchy chorus. The song is lots of fun with its Disco beat. 10/10

8. Something Kinda Funny - The song that got the girls their record deal. This laid back R&B song is so catchy and sexy that you cant help but love it. It is brilliant and nicely sung. 10/10

9. Naked - My favorite song on the album. This haunting song about sex is extremly beautiful. Great Harmonies and belty vocals (mel C) and sexy vocals provided by the spices. Brilliant song with an R&B beat. 10/10

10. If U Can't Dance - A dance song with an fun rap and sexy vocals provided by Geri and Mel B. 8/10

This album is a classic, it defines pop at its briliance.

Free Music Review: Good, but Spice World is better!
Hit: 5 Stars

Yes, this is pure guilty-pleasure pop.. but so what? It's fun to listen to!
Now that that's out the way, let me just say that this is a good, but nto great, pop CD. Before hearing their sophomore release, "Spice World," I would have rated this CD better, but "Spice World" makes this CD look bad, save for a few tracks.

1. "Wannabe" - Who HASN'T heard this song!?! I really don't need to review it, since you've all heard it.

2. "Say You'll Be There" - You've probably heard this one, too, but, if not, let me just say that it's better than "Wannabe." The music is much catchier.

3. "2 Become 1" - A really pretty ballad. Even though this is pop, this song is very pretty, and much more "mature" than the first two singles.

4. "Love Thing" - And now we return to the famous Spice Girls' pop sound. This song is like "Wannabe," only less dynamic.

5. "Last Time Lover" - This song adds some sutry R&B to the mix. Extremely catchy, with a great beat.

6. "Mama" - A ballad dedicated to mom's everywhere. It's a really pretty song, although it can be sickeningly sweet. But play it for your mom, tell her that's how you feel about her, and she'll cry.

7. "Who Do You Think You Are" - Eh. That's really all there is to say about this song. It doesn't have the funky pop beats or the lush balladry of the aforementioned tracks. Skip it.

8. "Something Kinda Funny" - See Track 7. Seriously, they shouldn't have put these songs next to each other on the CD. It's hard to differentiate between them.

9. "Naked" - Like the title, this song is really rather odd. The music's not bad at all, and it's actually a pretty good song, except for the little rap bit.

10. "If You Can't Dance" - D'oh! Horrible song to close an album with. It's just plain NOT GOOD! I suppose it could be good to dance to in a club or something... nah, I just can't say anything good about this song.

Free Music Review: Spice Girls's Pop Classic
Hit: 5 Stars

This was my very first cd album, 5 years ago. It started a downpour that created my CD collection. I miss the days of these Girls, and they still hold a place in my heart. Though I love every single song here, I'm gonna give a rundown anyway.

1.Wannabe (2:52) 5 of 5 stars

The first pop-ilcious single from the Girls. The blue print to a perfect pop tune.

2.Say You'll Be There (3:56) 5 of 5 stars

Single number two, another lively slice of energetic pop. All the girls get to display their lovely voices.

3.2 Become 1 (4:00) 5 of 5 stars

A third single, much slower than the previous, but just as perfect a pop song. This really is a beautiful ballad, something I generally avoid.

4.Love Thing (3:37) 5 of 5 stars

Not a single, but easily could have been one. This is one of my favorites from this album. I don't wanna know 'bout that love thing! ;-)

5.Last Time Lover (4:11) 5 of 5 stars

Smooth and sexy pop funk on this one. The Spices are chasin' a guy, and the guy is chasin' them, destiny. ;-)

6.Mama (5:03) 5 of 5 stars

This was a part of a double A-side in the UK with Who Do You Think You Are. A sweet song about how much a mom should be loved. It's a sweet song!

7.Who Do You Think You Are (3:59) 5 of 5 stars

This was the other single released alongside Mama. A totally opposite song to the previous, this is a pop song with disco roots.

8.Something Kinda Funny (4:02) 5 of 5 stars

This song I acctually didn't like in the beginning, but now I love it. They've got something kinda funny going on on this one.

9.Naked (4:26) 5 of 5 stars

This is slow sexy song, about a young woman taking control of her sexuality, and not letting it be used as a weapon against her by others.

10.If U Can't Dance (3:50) 5 of 5 stars

Oh, this is just your average latin hip-hop club pop anthem. ;-)

Ah, the days of "Girl Power!" and the Spices amazing popularity. I hope the can achieve it again someday, and this will always be on top of my cd pile.

Free Music Review: My Grade 9 Obsession
Hit: 5 Stars

When I was in grade nine, I was obsessed with the Spice Girls. My aunt gave me their first album Spice for my birthday (I think when I turned 15). She said that, at the time, her step-son loved them, and thought that I would love them too. Well guess what? She was right. From that day forward, my obsession started. I bought their second cd Spiceworld, and even bought a few singles. I got 2 Stop singles; one with 3 live tracks and the other with 3 remixes of Stop. I have their movie Spice World, 2 concert videos, one in Istanbul, and one in Wembley. I also got the One Hour of Girl Power videotape as a gift. So, as you can see, I took a dive in the Spice Girls frenzy!

The first music video I saw of theirs was Say You'll Be There. I instantly fell in love with the blonde one, and sometime throughout my obsession, I found out her name was Emma Bunton. I learned the other girl's names too. Mel C was my favourite, because she was sporty and she wore a lot of Adidas, my favourite brand name. I remember actually dressing up like her on her birthday (I didn't know it was her birthday, honest!) I wore my green Adidas outfit.

When Geri left the Spice Girls, it wasn't the same. Victoria, Emma, Mel C and Mel B went on to produce a 3rd album called Forever. Although Geri wasn't in the group, I found that their sound matured tremendously. It had more of an R&B feel to it! They looked more mature too. But a little while after Forever, the Spice Girls broke up. I don't remember my exact reaction to the break up, but I know I was really disappointed and sad.

My favourite song on the Spice album is Wannabe, because it's short and sweet! It was also the first ever single the Girls made. I love the music video to it. The girls are hyper and energetic.

The Spice Girls came and went, and I can proudly say that I participated in that era, and I will never forget it.
