Free Music Review: Spice Girls Will Always Be Here!
Hit: 5 Stars

I was looking through some old CD's today and came across this one. I used to LOVE this CD. Baby Spice is the best Spice Girl. She's the hottest and the most fun. Now this CD is one of the best pop album of all time! The Spice Girls are the ultimate Girl Group. I figured I would write a review while I was in the Spice Girl mood.

1. Wannabe - The best song on the album. Their first hit single and probably their best song ever!

2. Say You'll Be There - This is a really good song. It's a classic Spice Girls tune.

3. 2 Become 1 - This is one of my favorite Spice Girls songs. It's really good and is a classic.

4. Love Thing - This is a really good song, too. Geri sounds great in it.

5. Last Time Lover - This is also a really good song. It's not as dancy, but that's ok.

6. Mama - I love this song. Emma sounds awesome on it. You know it was her idea for this, you can so tell! I remember when they sang this at the concert. it was great.

7. Who Do You Think You Are - Wow! This song is great. Geri sounds great on it too.

8. Something Kinda Funny - This song is pretty good, too. I like the guitar-ish insturment sound in the background (mostly in the beginning.)

9. Naked - I like the little phone call bit on this. I remember Mel C at the concert before they sang this song (which is really good, by the way) "Well, since it is sooo hot here in Southern California, we decided to get NAKED!" The crowd went wild as they started discarding random pieces of clothing. I so wish I had snuck my camera in. Oh well.

10. If U Can't Dance - Probably my least favorite on the album. The beginning "rap" is kinda funny, though. It's all good!

All in all, this is a great debut by the Spice Girls. It's a must have for any fan of pop. The Spice Girls were a HUGE influence in music and certainly left their mark with this album. Enjoy!!!!!

Free Music Review: The best debut 5 Stars

This album, is the Spice Girl's debut album, yes, the one that launched them off to MULTI-MULTI-MULTI-MULTI PLATINUM status!
This album was released February 4, 1997 in the U.S., but released a bit before in the U.K. This album consides of 5 out 10 #1 hit singles. Thats a lot, hardly any singer/band/group has ever accomplished having half of their debut album's singles
go to #1, or have all their singles released hit #1....we'll....the Spice Girls did just that, and become a great
role model to everyone by simply not caring and to teach all to be proud and be who you are, and forget about what the public and others think of you. So, it would only be right for me to give you a review on all their singles released! Right?!

1) Wannabe: Summer 1996. The one that started it all!
Excellent song!
2) Say You'll Be There: Fall 1996. A great hit.
3) 2 Become 1: The Spice Girl's 1st Christmas hit! Excellent
Love song!
4) Mama/Who Do You Think You Are: Released at the same time for
Charity. Great songs.
Mama= great love/thank you
track to MOMS!!!! ;-)
Who Do You Think You Are=
GREAT DANCE TRACK!

All in all, this is a great album. One of my top 5 favorites ever, so far. I only wish music would be like it was in in the 90's, 2000, and 2001. Music, now, has gone sour....EXTREMELY SOUR, and any album with great taste like it was in the years I mention, only go gold or platinum once. :-(
But, It will return again....and so will the Spice Girls with Ginger!!!!

My love to all upset fans and music lovers w/ taste

Free Music Review: Too old to rock and roll, maybe too old for the Spice Girls
Hit: 5 Stars

With their sexy (but not too sexy) on-stage personnas, pleasant harmonies and honey coated melodies, the Spice Girls phenomena still rages on, albeit a bit more slowly. Back when this album came out, the tween members of the house cranked these tunes incessantly, I at the time was not coherent to the music. Being a classic rock music listener, I dismissed the Spice Girls as just another pop group. Fast forward to 2006, I'm a bit older and while browsing the web for music, stumbled upon the Spice Girls. After listening to various sound bytes, decided to purchase the album. I would highly recommend people to buy this album if they just need to get happy. I call the Spice Girls albums "happy music" amongst the looks of shock and disbelief on the faces of my co-workers. You can't help but like their music. Not long after the music starts, the toes start tappin and a smile appears on the face. I won't mention any booty shakin, thas jus wrong. I've done it and trust me, with my limited mad skills, it's just wrong.
Wannabe, 2 become 1 and Say You'll Be There aren't even my favorites, I like these songs alot, especially 2 Become 1, but Something Kinda Funny and Last Time Lover take that honor from this album. The only tune that didn't float my boat were Mama, it was the only song that I felt was sentimental but weak. Some songs were over-exposed in their hey day(cough! wannabe) but listening to it now, the music seems a little timeless, the songs go down as coolly now as they did when they first played. Mel C and Emma have the most noticeable voices. of the two, Mel C's voice is the most distinct vocally and she puts out the strongest vocal performance. You can't help but like the Spice Girls and their debut album.

Free Music Review: Blast From My Past
Hit: 5 Stars

Cleaning out my CD's one day I uncovered the album of my middle school days, Spice Girls Spice and Spiceworld. When putting in my CD player I was overcome with those old school memories and wondered, "Why can't I go back?" Spice Girls was one of the most popular things during 1996-1998, when music at that time was on an all time low (umm...can you say Hanson?) and most of the popular artist (like Boyz II Men and All 4 One) were cooling down. Spice Girls were the remedy for this. Now that I listen to this CD older and wiser in my knowledge of music I can say that this is not a bad album. It had it's ever so catchy mega, super-duper hit, "Wannabe" which is still fresh and the hip-hop flavored "Last Time Lover" the album covered loads of genres and the girls had talented voices but I guess the fact they dressed as a "character" turned everyone off but not me and my friends, who even went as far as dressing up like them, every day and especially Halloween, and proclaiming that we had "Girl Power!" (I swear I thought I was Mel. B!) "Say You'll Be There" (my fave track) is upbeat and sassy while "2 Become 1" is sultry (my 3rd fave track)while "Last Time Lover" is sharp as "Who Do You Think You Are?" is witty and disco flavored. "If U Can't Dance" is gritty and raw and my 2nd fave track (I just love the line "Never is a Keanu but a dweeb looking at me"! Creative!)while "Somethin' Kinda Funny" has a jazzy, laid back feel to it. They have a place in my heart nonetheless [...]because the girls were talented and had an awesome debut record and they helped me and my friends grow up. All in all Spice Girls will always be remembered not just for there outfits but for their music as well.
