Free Music Review: CORNY, BUT IT WAS THE RETURN OF POP!
Hit: 5 Stars

Yes!, the Girl Power debut album was in fact a very corny independent woman music record, but, this album set the scene for the return of the POP-DANCE EASY listening music to the charts in the USA. "Wannabe" their first single and first & only #1 song set the standard for a new era for woman in music who proclaim independence in a funny way, of course Wannabe will stay in poeple's mind as a track that they don't like to admit they used to like it and sina a long with it, the second single "Say You'll Be There" took the top 10 by storm help by the power infused by Wannabe, but the song stood by it own power. "2 become 1" a sex-love song, with trendy delicatessen, confused many by the real meaning of it, song in a sweet touchy vocal way, this song established the girls as a musical force by the end of 1997. Other tracks mainly pop-dance well crafted and produced were the disco a like "Who Do You Think You Are", the inspiriational "Mama", and the soulful "Some Kind Of Lover", overall the "Spice" album gave Sporty, Ginger, Crazy, Posh, Baby the great window of fame and even it got them a movie job, figure that out, if this wasn't a hit, what was it?

Free Music Review: Spice It Up Now, Girls! It's Our World!
Hit: 5 Stars

For as long as we can remember, boys have had the first and only step in music. But now, the SPICE GIRLS are here! The hottest pop group in years, these five girls, Mel B. (Scary), Geri (Ginger or Sexy), Emma (Baby), Victora (Posh), and Mel C. (Sporty) have taken that one big step for woman with their first ablum, SPICE. With number one hit "WANNABE" the ablum starts off great. "WANNABE" is followed by another hit single, "SAY YOU"LL BE THERE." Then comes a slow song, "2 BECOME 1." Followed by two sexy songs, "LOVE THING" amd "LAST TIME LOVER." Then we slow down with a song for their "MAMA"s. Another spicey song, "WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?" made a hit with it's comic video. Then the song that started them out, "SOMETHING KINDA FUNNY." Another slow song about taking it safe, "NAKED" is followed by the last and spicey song, "IF U CAN"T DANCE." I recommed this CD for only the women at heart and guys who can take some kicks in the butts, because these girls don't let anybody tell them what to do! And I mean NOBODY!

Free Music Review: OK. Getting old....but you gotta love it!
Hit: 5 Stars

How could anyone not like this CD? My two sisters make fun of me because they catch me still listening to it. But I can't help it! When I like a CD, I don't just listen to it until it's not popular anymore...I continue to listen to it forever! Why else would you buy a CD unless you plan on listening to it more than once?

Anyway, SPICE is probably the Spice Girls' best CD, though I don't really like their new one, FOREVER, all that much. Probably because Ginger Spice left the group and now it's rumored that Sporty Spice is going to be leaving the group, too! My favs on this CD are: "Wannabe", "Say You'll Be There", "2 Become 1", "Last Time Lover", "Love Thing", "Mama", and "Something Kind of Funny". They've got great vocals and the lyrics are fun and party-like. SPICE is not really supposed to be a serious CD at all. So all of you out there looking for serious CDs...this is not it! But if you're just looking for fun, relaxing CDs, then this is a great one to add to your collection (if you haven't, already). Go out and buy this CD and I know you will not regret it.

Free Music Review: The Best Girl Band Pop Album Ever!
Hit: 5 Stars

Spice Girls' debut album starts with their powerful debut single track "Wannabe". Five girls Emma "Baby Spice" Bunton, Geri "Ginger Spice" Halliwell, Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham, Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown, and Melanie "Sporty Spice" Chrisholm had a dream about being pop stars and they did it. With the powerful girl power songs "Wannabe", "Say You'll Be There", "Who Do You Think You Are"...girl power ballads "2 Become 1" and "Mama"...they became popular...all of them were number ones in UK. There's also other great tracks: "Last Time Lover", "Love thing" (which would have been their first single if the record company's proposal would have been accepted by Spice Girls...but it didn't...the record company thought that the first single usually don't success so well, so "Love Thing" would have been an OK start), "Some Think Kinda Funny", and the ballad "Naked" (tells about a baby). The closing track "If U Can't Dance" is the only track I dislike in this album. It has old-fashioned sound.
Stars: Say You'll Be There, Who Do You Think You Are, Wannabe

Free Music Review: They're no wannabes...
Hit: 5 Stars

Spice, the debut album by Spice Girls, is a wonorful first album. Here's a breakdown of each song on the disc:

Wannabe- (5) The first single. A great pop song that captures the girls need to be themselves.

Say You'll Be There- (5) The second single. Better vocals and a funner video.

2 Become 1- (5) Truly remarkable. This third single is by far the best song here.

Love Thing- (4) A fun listen; kind of repetive, but still a worthy track.

Last Time Lover- (5) An urban- influenced track that shows off Mel G's skills.

Mama- (5) A+ quality singing. Very touching. This 4th single is a good choice.

Who Do You Think You Are?-(5)Upbeat Comic Relief theme on the same single as "Mama".

Something Kinda Funny-(3) Worst track on the c.d. Repetitive,B-Side material perhaps? Still O.K.

Naked- (4) Performed in the nude on the tour, a slow song. Could've had better topic.

If U Can't Dance- (5) What would've been the 5th single if Geri stayed.Great club song

Well, there you have it. A great c.d. Go buy it today!
