Free Music Notes for SpiceFree Music Review: OMG, I love this CD!!! Hit: 5 Stars
I bought this album at a garage sale 4 years ago and I now love the Spice Girls! Even when they were on the scene about 8 or 9 years ago, they're still an awesome girl group. Here is what I thought of all the songs on Spice:
1) Wannabe- 10/10. My favorite song! I have to belt it out whenever I hear it.
2) Say You'll Be There- 9/10. I love this one.
3) 2 Become 1- 8/10. A very slow song, but still good.
4) Love Thing- 10/10. My 2nd favorite song.
5) Last Time Lover- 8/10. I like this song.
6) Mama- 9/10. This song is really nice!
7) Who Do You Think You Are- 10/10. Cool tune!
8) Something Kinda Funny- 9/10. A little slow, but I like it!
9) Naked- 8/10. Slow and whispery, but decent.
10) If U Can't Dance- 10/10. Fantastic song!
There were no songs below an 8/10 on this album! I'm glad I bought it.
Free Music Review: the album that started the teen pop phenomenon :( Hit: 5 Stars
this album right here really did shake up the music scene. i'm not saying that's a good thing. it's just a fact. the album is very slick and well put together. it's fun and has great hooks everywhere. it's really a great album and some of you folks really need to lighten up :) however make no mistake. the damage this album did on the music scene is really the only bad thing i can say about it. after this album will get a bunch of really lame teen pop superstars britney, nsync, backstreet boys, and all the other crap. but the spice girls did it right. there's just enough tongue & cheek on here to make it work. this is not serious music but it was never hyped as such. in 97 some guy cloned a sleep. lol. in the music world some guy cloned the spice girls. too bad the clones weren't as entertaining as the original. a must hear album i think. it's fairly insane trust me :) just let yourself go and fall in love with the madness.
Free Music Review: Spice Girls rock! Hit: 5 Stars
[Okay, I'm older than 12, not 12, but I don't want to become a member!]Anwyays. When I was younger and they were huge I was like a total fan! When they broke up, I was not a fan anymore. Then my dad made me listen again a few months ago, and I remembered how good the music is. I'm listening to the CD right now, and I have been listening to their CDs constantly now for a few weeks - again. Brings back good memories. They were all so talented, they wrote their own music and each had a special part in the band. Plus, they wanted to do some stuff their own way, not have some person write all their songs and tell them how to dress. It was just a shame they were kind of tough or something, and they broke up. But the music is good, every song is different, and the music is so light and easy, but not exactly soda pop. It is unique and can never be replaced! Plus, they all have talents. I wish they'd make more music like this!
Free Music Review: Essential Pop Record Hit: 5 Stars
This is where it all began, folks.
You either love or hate the five British girls that took over the globe in the late '90s with their infectious pop tunes. And whether or not you believe the vocal talent was all there, you can't deny them of their charismatic and interesting personalities - ones that truly reflect onto this essential pop record.
From the first song to the last, a message for female empowerment is clear - which is actually very important (girl power, as they put it). Of EVERY past and current pop artist, NO ACT has EVER come close to being as blunt, colorful, and vivacious as the Spice Girls effortlessly proved to be.
This pop act is the real deal. Listening to this record, you'll either blast their music on your stereo, or you'll cringe. No in between - true artistry (no matter how cheesy).
If you don't own this record, you MUST consider.
Free Music Review: Pop music that never fades Hit: 5 Stars
back in the day, i thoguht that this album was really good and fun to listen to--and it still is now. The Spice Girls sang like there was no tomorrow, like cheerleaders, nonetheless, the way they sang actually part of a bigger and better package--their whole persons. The world came to embrace 5 loud, quirky and sexy girls into their ears (and hearts) with their brand of devilish pop that's celverly written and constructed. Even though they sang about silly stuff, they actually were the only ones who got away with it because in each song lies messages of empowerment. They sang with passion and flamboyance. Songs like WANNABE, WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE, IF U CANT' DANCE are slices of power pop that just stick to your head, while ballads like MAMA, 2 BECOME 1 are very memorable, happy, fun. This album brings so much memories--this is to perfect soundtrack to youth that only the SPICE GIRLS could deliver.
