Free Music Notes for This Is Spinal Tap

Free Music Review: Spinal Tap. Great Movie. Great Soundtrack.
Hit: 5 Stars

After hearing the music in This Is Spinal Tap (one of my favorite films), I almost instantly went out and bought the soundtrack. Even though some of these songs have silly lyrics and funny riffs to go with it (eg. "Cups & Cakes" haha!), I still love this rockin' music. I was so suprised at how well these brilliant actors played such good music. Some of my favorite tracks on this album are "Hell Hole", "Tonight I'm Gonna Rock you Tonight", "America", "Big Bottom" and the brand new "Christmas With The Devil"! If you liked what you heard in the classic film, then definitley buy this. It is one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard. Spinal Tap!

Free Music Review: YOU KNOW WHAT I WANT! (OR MAYBE YOU DON'T)
Hit: 5 Stars

Yeah! To eleven baby! These guys are awesome! Spinal Tap's 1980 album SMELL THE GLOVE was a poorly conceived comeback album for the one time British greats SPINAL TAP.
This 1984 re-issue was made popular with a little help from their documentary THIS IS SPINAL TAP! It contains a full spectrum of hits from throughout their long (and somewhat WILD career.)
Don't miss this one, all the hits SEX FARM, BIG BOTTOM, STONEHENGE, HELL HOLE as well as sixties favorites LISTEN TO THE FLOWER PEOPLE and TONIGHT I'M GONNA ROCK YOU TONIGHT.

TODAYS LESSON: The looser the waist band, the deeper the quicksand (or so I have read....)

Free Music Review: (not really under thirteen, just using this to hide)
Hit: 5 Stars

Spinal Tap rules! It's almost as if they are real.

Which is what i want to address. Some people are so stupid! Spinal Tap is NOT, I repeat, NOT an actual band! This was just a soundtrack to a MOCKUMENTARY! To the person who wanted to know where to get the indiviual albums, THERE ARE NONE! That's why those people laughed at you when you asked! To the person who said they look nothing like the actors that play them, well you're just retarted!

I'm sorry if I put anyone down, embarrased them or otherwise. But you should still get the movie, the soundtrack, and be totally obsessed with them!

Spinal Tap ROCKS!!!!

Free Music Review: Even better than 'Smell the Glove'
Hit: 5 Stars

Spinal Tap's movie soundtrack is, surprisingly, even better than their brilliant previous work. While devotees of the band may argue heatedly that 'Intravenus de Milo' or 'Smell the Glove' are pure samples of head-banging perfection, this reviewer believes that the band's latest compendium resounds on an even deeper, more emotional level than earlier oeuvres.

Listen with an open mind to the angst-driven 'Gimme Some Money', the bucolic 'Sex Farm', or the majestic 'Stonehenge' and you, too, will stand in awe of these rock pioneers. Insightful lyrics and mature sensibilities combine to make this a must-have album.

Free Music Review: what's wrong with being sexy?
Hit: 5 Stars

One of my all-time favorite movies, and a great album of ridiculous music to go with it! What I especially love about this album is the parody of music across the last couple generations. You have all the major incarnations of rock music, from the Rolling Stones-esque to the 80's hair bands.

My favorite, of course, is the classic Big Bottom, which was delivered in majestic form when Tap performed at the Warfield in San Francisco in support of their album 'Break Like the Wind', which included all band members on bass. I don't think any other band has attempted this (nor should they). It was craptacular!
