I have been posting Bulletins on my MySpace site of Comedy/Novelty music recently and knew that I would eventually end up getting this CD that I picked up today.
Not one of the songs went below 4 star (above average) IMHO.
Even thought they mocked Heavy-Metal music they put out some outstanding songs albeit with some hilarious lyrics!
I would recommend either renting or buying the DVD movie, you can't go wrong!
This has to be one of the best Cult classics to get.

Where would metal be today without Tap? This CD could very well be the pinacle for Tap and metal in general. Its better than Brainhammer and Rock 'N Roll Creation. Hec this CD reads like a greatest hits and to think Tap released it when everyone thought they were washed up !!!! This album was a sleeper until Sex Farm took off in Japan then the charts exploded for Tap and they reclaimed their position as the greatest metal band there ever was and there ever will be. This cd showcases the talent these men have! They made the movie sort of as an experiment, and found out they have a chemistry: so much so, that they STILL play together. They excel at any genre of music they play too. There are selections done in mid sixties style, like "Cups and Cakes, Listen to the Flower People and Give Me Some Money" and there are rockers like "Stonehenge, Big Bottom, Christmas with the Devil, etc" I highly recommend this cd!Free Music Review: Spinal Tap .... rocks

What the previous reviewers have failed to mention is that sometimes the lyrics rhyme, and sometimes they don't, which keeps you on your toes. When you play this CD,the one thing that blows you mind is how great the music is.If these guys took themselves serious,they really could have been huge rock stars.That's what makes Spinal Tap a classic.My all time favorite song is "Big Bottom." I love the line,"Talk about Mud Flaps,my girls got em."
