Free Music Review: Killer Good Christian Screamo

Ok, so I'm not a "screamo" listener typically. I don't mind some "Underoath" or "Emery" but generally can't stand anything like "Demon Hunter" "August Burns Red" etc. In fact, I find lots of screamo to sound kinda scary. That being said, "Spoken" has produced a screamo album that I actually love. Their careful attention to melody and their pop metal sensibilities shine through and the screams only accentuate the intensity of this album's message.
One has but to listen to "History Erased" to fall in love with "Spoken's" brand of screamo. Growling doesn't make an appearance on this album, instead the screaming is high end, which makes it less weird sounding. Also, the lead singer's voice is smooth as silk and can hit amazing tenor notes.
