Free Music Notes for Ga Ga Ga Ga GaFree Music Review: top contender for best of 2007 Hit: 5 Stars
an amazing disc. there is something to offer for those just discovering Spoon and everything older fans have come to love about the band. This is as good a place as any to start. And the title? I'm fine with being one of the few people in the universe that likes it. Boys, you've really outdone yrselves. For greater details regarding the awesomeness of said disc read further reviews. My suggestion is to snatch up the disc immediately and hear for yourself. Then see them when they come to your town. They put on a killer live show too.
Free Music Review: Great record for indie fans and mainstream audience Hit: 5 Stars
Great record - catchy hooks, little-no filler, solid songwriting. Spoon has been on the verge of getting mainstream attention for a while, this record puts them closer to that edge. There's nothing here that the average music fan would not appreciate - but then again, inventive/edgy enough for even the most discerning music fan.

Update - still going strong a couple years later, the sign of a truly great album. For new Spoon fans, this is the place to start - more accessible than Transference
Free Music Review: They never back up an inch, evah. Hit: 5 Stars
Spoon makes it look so easy, but it sounds so hard. From the stoopid title down to the audio mutts that these kids blend from far-flung sources, this is an absolutely fearless band, caught here at their fearless best. The first time I hear a new Spoon song, I always think I could probably do that in my garage after putting the cat out. The secound time I hear that song, I'm thinking "How inconspiculously catchy...". The third time, it's "Thelonius Monk couldn't've done that!".
Free Music Review: Buy it. For the betterment of yourself...and all of humanity. Hit: 5 Stars
Swinging and sleek, sharp, minimal and sweet, Spoon is the best rock and roll band on the planet.
Although they started out loud and angular, Spoon has mellowed into fine and precise pop craftsman, in the best tradition of mid-60s Beatles and Rolling Stones. Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga--at 'round about half an hour--crams in Motown rhythms, power-pop melodies, experimental flourishes and even a Mariachi band without ever sounding overdone.
Free Music Review: *drool* one of their better albums Hit: 5 Stars
I Love Spoon. There we go simple as that. This album sounds different than their previous ones, however it's still one of my favorites. It's one of those albums, you can just listen to through and through. I have to say, kill the moonlight is my favorite, but this one is pretty close. I love the song, "my little japanese cigarette case" so random, but so fun. For any fan, a Must Buy. For newbies, a good place to start.
