Free Music Notes for Stacie Orrico

Free Music Review: I was a skeptic at first, but all it took was one listen ...
Hit: 5 Stars

Even though I was really interested in this CD when I heard some of her songs, I was hesitant to buy this album since I am not Christian, I thought the album would be very focused on God, so I didn't buy it. For about a month I kept talking about it, so my boyfriend finally bought it for me. And boy am I glad he did!! I LOVE this album!! It does have Christian undertones, but nothing over the top. Having been a singer for 6 years myself, I know when I hear a good voice -- and she certainly has an AWESOME voice. I think it is better than any pop singers out there. I hope that this album gets more air time on the radio stations, because if it does, this girl will take off!! Her lyrics are meaningful, the sounds are great and her voice is something you've got to hear for yourself. Not many artists are good at singing both love ballads and upbeat stuff well - but she is one of the few that can pull off both with little effort. If you buy this album I promise that you won't regret it!

Free Music Review: Awesome!!!!!!!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

Why is it everybody compares every pop singer [...]!Stacie Orrico in no way is gonna end up like Britney cause she CAN SING!!!Stacie has a great set of pipes & uses them well. She also mixes pop & gospel to make it fun and danceable & creative. So DON'T compare her to others before you know Stacie fully!!!
Stacie's self-titled come back from her debut is one of the best albums i have and one of the only albums i don't skip a song. Her sweet voice completes every song greatly. So with songs like I Promise & Strong Enough give me goosebumps.

Free Music Review: music overriding spirituality
Hit: 5 Stars

Let me just say that I am the last person to like non-secular music. For the most part, I think religion and spirituality are very personal things and shouldn't be trivialized into club music. With that said, I was really conflicted about liking Stacie Orrico's second album - I didn't particularly love that she was a Christian artist, but the musicality of the album is *amazing.* I can listen to the CD the entire way through. Not only that, but there are a few tracks that aren't, well, godly, like "Stuck" and "(There's Gotta Be) More to Life." (The latter is her second single, I think.) I've read a few interviews with her, by the way, and she seems like a very mature, bright girl, who's more into being a singer than being labeled as a Christian. That's enough for me. Awesome CD, you'll enjoy it for the music if nothing else! Five stars.

Free Music Review: Stacie is Legit: Strong Album
Hit: 5 Stars

I've followed Stacie since Genuine, which, if you don't have it, you need to pick it up as well... As for this current album, credit Stacie's marketing team with a coup-the release of a Christian album packaged for the pop market, without compromise! My favorite cut is clearly "Maybe I Won't Look Back", which combines a deep message and strong lyrics with a jacked up, funky dance track, with incredible guitar work start to finish. This album is infectious, bottom line, and establishes Stacie as one to watch, in both pop and Christian genres. If you're tired of searching for an album that your teenager can listen to without being bombarded with negative, sexualized messages and innuendo, this album maintains the innocence and maturity of being a young person with a heart for God. A must buy!
