Free Music Review: Stacie Rocks With Her Sophomore Album!
Hit: 5 Stars

Not being a Christian, I was hesistant to buy Stacie's CD due to the fact that she has been classified as a Christian singer. After listening to the tracks online, I knew I had to get this CD. Here's a breakdown:

1. Stuck - This is the first single which is currently burning up the charts over at TRL. Very poppy and upbeat. Stacie sings about being stuck in a relationship even though she knows she should move on. 5/5

2. More To Life - Very upbeat, written by singer Lucy Woodward. Stacie has said that she wants this to be her next single. Great song for all ages, all about going after your dreams and not settling for second best. 5/5

3. Bounce Back - Upbeat with a sort of R&B, pop feel going. Stacie sings about not letting things get you down. 4/5

4. I Promise - Ballad but not the annoyingly slow kind. Stacie sings about promising to always be there. 4/5

5. Instead - Great song that really makes you think. Stacie sings about seeing a homeless man, among other things, and thinking that maybe he's not really homeless when asking for money and ignoring him. But then she wonders what if it was her in his place? 5/5

5. Security - Great upbeat song. 5/5

7. Hesitation - This track is one of the few with a prominent Christian overtone as Stacie sings, "Why the hesitation, God is ever waiting" but still really good and can apply to anyone, no matter what religion. Strong, upbeat pop. 5/5

8. Strong Enough - Slow ballad but very beautiful. Again, Stacie talks about being strong enough to get through things. 5/5

9. I Could Be The One - The best track on this CD. Very poppy, dance oriented. Christian overtones as Stacie sings about crashing down but then God showed her the way. Very cool song! 6/5

10. Maybe I Won't Look Back - Another AWESOME track! Mid-tempo. Stacie sings about how a friend called her and sounded down but she told her she couldn't talk because she had something else to do. So now she's not very proud of the way she has lived life today and sings about how to be better. Very cool message and a great track! 6/5

11. Tight - Great clubbing song. Tight club beat at the end. 5/5

12. That's What Love's About - Mid-tempo, R&B vibe. Nice way to end the CD. 4/5

So if you are hesitating about getting the CD due to the fact that Stacie has been classified as Christian, don't! Go out and get this CD today. I guaranteee it won't leave your CD player for a LONG time; I know mine hasn't yet!

Free Music Review: Stacie Orrico Pulls It Off!
Hit: 5 Stars

Listening to hits like "Stuck" and "More to Life" on the radio made me finally pick up this CD. I was overwhelmed with the wonderful music on it!

1) Stuck- This song is all about Stacie being "stuck" in a relationship; she knows she needs to call it quits, but she still loves her partner. Very upbeat and good rythem! 5/5

2) (There's Gotta Be) More to Life- A song that explains that even though the "temporary highs" bring you happiness, it only lasts for a few moments; you need to find your true thoughts and interests to bring you pleasure! Great lyrics and tune 5/5

3) Bounce Back- This song talks about surviving a tough problem or situation. I can really realate to this song because I had to learn how to "bounce back" from the hardships in my life. Good rythem and lyrics! 5/5

4) I Promise- A song that tells about always being there for someone and never letting them down. The lyrics are good, but the song is a bit slow and the beat is doubtful. 4/5

5) Security- This song talks about God always being there for you. It has a good message, but it's not really catchy. 3/5

6) Instead- A song about not judging others and trying to walk in others' shoes. Great beat and lyrics; my 2nd favorite song 5/5

7) Hesitation- This song talks about not doubting God and put your trust in him. Awsome beat and very catchy! 5/5

8) Strong Enough- A song about allowing us to start over again and God to forgive us. It is much like Security; it has a good message for all, but it's not very catchy for some, including me 4/5.

9) I Could Be the One- This song talks about going out to help others to follow God. Stacie brings pop into this song, and it ties in very nicely! A very catchy song that gets anyone motivated! 5/5

10) Maybe I Won't Look Back- A song about going along with God, forgiving yourself, and doing good deeds to make up for your selfish deeds. A great message and lyrics, and Stacie does a nice rap! My favorite song also :) 5/5

11) Tight- This song is really interesting. It talks about Stacie being "tight" with God. Its a good song with a good beat, although the last part is a bit odd! 4/5

12) That's What Loves About- A song about discussing exactly what the title says. It is a good R&B song that I like to listen to now and then. 5/5

All and all, this is a great CD to go buy, and I'd give it a 5/5. Stacie is amazing, and you should be a lucky person to hear her voice!

Free Music Review: Stacie Orrico- Christian Inspiring my Life through music
Hit: 5 Stars

I LOVE this cd!! It is wonderful for christians, and, being a born again christian myself, can realte to alot of the songs.
*Stuck*- a very catchy song about a girl who knows a relationship is bad for her, but is having a hard time letting go
*Theres gotta be more to life*-cool song. its about realizing that life is more than meets the eye
*bouce back*- LOVE this song, probly cause I can relate to it 100%. Its about falling away from God in trials and despair, and 'getting back on the horse' so to speak. It relates to me so much cause I had to go through many hard times and had to keep strong through them.
*I promise*- dont really like this song to much- its about proising to always be there for someone
*Security*- LOVE this song as well. Its about no matter what happens, God is always there- he is all of our security blanket :)
*Instead*- Fabulous song! its about viewing other people in this world, and how it might be to walk in their shoes and how it would b e different if you were to live someone elses life instead.
*Hesitation*-My second fav song on this cd. Its a great song asking why some people are hesitating giving their life to God. I know so many people that are suffering and need God, b ut they hesitate what they dont know.
*strong enough*- this is a very touching song, asking God is hes strong enough to help us through some of out strongest and toughest times in our lifes. Gods always strong enough!
*I could be the one*- This song is alot about self worth. Like are we really worthy to experience miracles and to change the world. Will I be the one God chooses to change the world?
*Maybe I wont look about*- This ones about coming along a long way, and not looking back on past mistakes and moving on with each new days, Gods mercy anew
*Tight*- Dont really like this song that much. Its a fast paced song that raps about spending time with God.
*Thats what loves all about*- My fav song on the cd is the last one! Its such a a beautiful song that sings about the love of the world.
Stacie Orrico rocks! She is a truely blessed child of God that really knows how to sing it! I can really relate to all of her songs, which is probly why I love the cd SOOOOO much!

Free Music Review: Very Great!
Hit: 5 Stars

I really love this CD. It has good lyrics and it talks about good things in life. Instead of always talking about boys and stuff. She talks mostly about life. Here are the songs on the album...

1. Stuck- Is a very good song. I love the beat and the song! Her voice is so good in this song.

2. More to Life- This one is really good. It talks about stop going from one thing to another. Be satisfied with what you're doing already. Instead of trying different jobs and not being satisfied. Real good!

3. Bounce Back- I like it, but it's not my favorite. It has a sort of dancy type of beat. But it's nice to listen to.

4. I Promise- It's a very nice, pretty song. It's slow and fast at the same time.

5. Security- I love this song. It talks about that God is her security. He's always by her side. It's a very great song.

6. Instead- I love this song. I love the lyrics very much. It talks about being in someone elses shoes that are less fortunate. She's wondering what it would be like in someone else's shoes INSTEAD of hers.

7. Hesitation- I love this one too! I basically love all of them. In this song she is saying that you shouldn't hesitate to ask God into your heart. I really love this song.

8. Strong Enough- This is a beautiful song! Her voice is really pretty when she sings slow songs. This is a slow song. It's very pretty.

9. I Could Be the One- I really dont like this song as much as the others, but it's a nice song. It has a dance type of beat to it.

10. Maybe I Won't Look Back- This song is nice also. It has a slow/fast type of beat.

11. Tight- I love this song! It has a dancey type of beat to it too, but it's a very good song.

12. That's What Love's About- This song is a slow song. It's very pretty. She just has a nice voice for slow songs.

Stacie Orrico's CD is the best!! She has a really great voice! Really great voice! You should buy her CD! And it doesn't matter if she's Christian or the songs are Christian. They are really great to listen to. Any song that sounds cool to me is cool. No matter if it's pop, rap, r&b, country...anything! But this CD really is good.

Free Music Review: I haven't heard the whole album, but...
Hit: 5 Stars

I just wanted to say a little something here. I think everyone is entitled to their opinions. But can you all please think back to when you were 16 for just a moment? I'm almost 20 years old, a Christian, and I was definately writing poetry about guys when I was 16! Why, then, do people have to practically throw a 16 year old Christian girl to the wolves for having one (one!) song on her album about a member of the opposite sex? When I first found out about Stacie, I was REALLY pleased to hear a Christian girl's music being played on secular stations! And if you remember, Jars of Clay had a few tracks that were played on secular stations as well a few years back. Instead of focusing on the fact that Ms. Orrico decided to include a song that wasn't about God, rather it was about a boy, why not take a look at what the other artists in this age range are putting out there? I saw Britney Spears' name mentioned quite a few times, along with Christina Aguilera's on these reviews. Isn't it nice to know that there is a moral alternative to THOSE kinds of artists out there?

Why is it that in the music industry, it's always expected that a Christian artist (not genre, the individual artist) will only produce worship songs, and never songs that are not only pure, but are about normal, everyday topics, like teenage dating? But anyone who does do that is "floating away from Christianity", or however you want to put it? That's a very dangerous statement to make. A person's salvation is between them & God, and we are all sinful. Who are we to judge another human being's standing with God?!

I think Stacie Orrico is very gifted, can't believe she's so young! And, personally, I feel that we're very blessed that there is finally a singer who's here to say, "This is my music, this is the way I dress, this is what I believe and why I do. Not everything I sing will be directly about God, but alot of it will." She's praising God by using the gifts He gave her in a respectable way.

And that's good enough for me. Good job, Stacie.
