Free Music Notes for Stacie Orrico

Free Music Review: A lovely album
Hit: 5 Stars

This album is a really strong CD and almost half of the tracks on here could be singles (that's not saying the other half are just fillers). I heard 'Stuck' on the radio first and thought, "I really like that." Later I heard '(there's gotta be) more to life' and I absolutely adored it so I bought the album. I was NOT disappointed.
The two singles are the most uptempo catchy songs but my favourite on the whole album is actually 'Strong Enough'. That song is beautiful, the lyrics are deep and meaningful and Stacie's voice is amazing. Other highlights include 'Security', 'I promise' (apparently her next single) and 'I could be the one.' Still, the others are really good too and 'That's what love's about' is a nice way to close the CD with a great chorus.

I was a little surprised to find the Christian emphasis on this CD as I honestly didn't know that Stacie was a Christian singer. But although I'm not a church-going or particularly strong Christian, I still believe in God and was actually pleased to hear the songs about God because I've never heard this type of music before. Quite a few reviewers have said that she hints about it rather than saying what she truly thinks but I always find it really clear what she is talking about.

All in all, a great addition to your music collection. The songs are pleasant and meaningful and Stacie's rich vocals manage to save some of the weaker songs. I really enjoyed listening to this and I would recommend it to anyone who wants more than cheap, meaningless bubblegum pop because you couldn't get further from it than this in the secular music area.

Free Music Review: A talented and unique artist....
Hit: 5 Stars

I really admire Stacie's attitude on how she's not like those Christian artists who focus more on a traditional gospel music. Stacie makes music that generally classified as secular but still acknowledges God in her life.

1) Stuck- I love this song....of course. I know how she feels when she's stuck on someone and can get over him. 5/5

2) More to Life- This song is okay, but not really my favorite. 3/5

3) Bounce Back- This song is cool. 5/5

4) I Promise- Very nice and easy to listen to. 5/5

5) Security- I really like the beats in this song. Very urban. It's my favorite. 5/5

6) Instead- This song is also my favorite. It has like this urban, hip hop beats. Just like the songs I wish sometimes I could know what people is thinking about when they see me. 5/5

7) Hesitation- Very catchy song! 5/5

8) Strong Enough- A good song for encouragement. 5/5

9) I Could Be the One- Once the beats are very catchy and danceable to listen to. 5/5

10) Maybe I Won't Look Back- Kinda Craig Davis like. 5/5

11) Tight- This song is really tight!!! I love this song that I think is one of the best on this album. So I tend to listen to this song very often. The beats and lyrics are very catchy and groovy. 10/5

12) That's What's Love's About- I like it how the violins are playing in the beginning. This song talks about reaching out to people when they're in need. A very beautiful r&b song. 10/5

Overall, I give this album a 10/10! A very good sophomore effort.

Free Music Review: Uplifting and GREAT!
Hit: 5 Stars

Bought this CD after seeing the music video for "More to Life." Probably the best CD in my collection thus far!

1. Stuck: 10/10 Really great message--one of my personal faves
2. More To Life: 10/10 LIke I said, it's the whole reason I bought the CD. Great beat, and the lyrics really make you think.
3. Bounce Back: 7/10 Maybe it's all right for the people who are into hip hop/R&B, but I dunno...it doesn't show off her voice as much and it's not as catchy
4. I Promise: 10/10 I don't know why a lot of people don't like this song! It pledges commitment and is sung beautifully! Really great song!
5. Security: 9/10 Danceable, upbeat and with a great message!
6. Instead: 10/10 Definetely different, but in a good way. The tune works and the lyrics are oh so true.
7. Hesitation: 6/10 It's a good message, but I really don't go for the way it's arranged or something. It's way too repetitive and starts to get on my nerves
8. Strong Enough: 1 million/10 Need I say more?
9. I Could Be The One: 9/10 Catchy tune, shows how it doesn't matter who you are, God will still use you
10. Maybe I Won't Look Back: 8/10 I dunno...I love the message, but it just doesn't strike me as one of my faves
11. Tight: 8/10 Good message, good tune, upbeat and overall pretty good
12. That's What Love's About: 8/10 It's a really good song, but it seems almost draggy to me, like it should speed up in part of it or something...just doesn't seem exciting to me

There you go! BUY THIS CD!

Free Music Review: Hey Now,........
Hit: 5 Stars

This CD is pretty awesome. I really like Stacie Orrico's style. I am proud of her boldness to go and sing songs that attract this generation but at the same time impact it. Her lyrics and purpose to each song really is increadible. I definantly recomend it. I am so excited that christain music is out there! Well, that people who aren't christains like. Normally everyone thinks christain music is the cheesy stuff that is all worship slow and boring...well guess what, your totally wrong. I mean, check out switchfoot if you like rock, the got really popular in A Walk To Remember, or Grits if you like rap....they sound exactly the same as secular music except there not talking about having sex and doing drugs. Granted, all secular music isn't like that, but you are what you watch and hear. Stacie is awesome and I hope you all get the messages in her music. I like her because she isn't fake, and she sings about real issues in the world today, and how you can't be satisfied through other things,.........I think she displays what christianity should be about. It's not just another religion, it's not a bunch of stupid rules, and It's not about how good you live and if you deserve to go to heaven, it's genuine, and it's a friendship with God......you don't have to "go to church" or memorize the bible,....just have a new best friend,..one that will be your best friend forever. Stacie is awesome...and if the messages in her songs don't create a change of lifestyle, I hope it planted a seed in you that will stay with you forever, so one day you will make the choice, ...for the genuine real God.

Free Music Review: This album is tha bomb!!
Hit: 5 Stars

Stacie Orrico's long-awaited sophomore release does not disappoint!! The vocal, artistic, and spiritual maturation that has taken place in Stacie's life since her debut album, is blatantly obvious from the first track to the last on her latest release. Christian fans, have no fear!! The love and message of Christ comes through loud and clear on this album. But rest assured, Stacie's music addresses issues Christians and non-Christians alike can relate to, like making mistakes, forgiveness, redemption, romantic love, friendship, life's purpose, and more. No wonder Stacie's already enjoying success on MTV's Total Request Live! My guess is that's just the beginning.
As for specific songs, the last 10-15 seconds of the song, "Tight" make the entire album worth purchasing!! But the whole song is enjoyable and one of my favorites.
In one review that I read of Stacie's single, "Stuck," the reviewer accurately described her performance of that song as a cross between Gwen Stefani of No Doubt, and Destiny's Child. "Stuck" is one of the best songs on the album and perhaps the best display of Stacie's impressive vocal range.
I think my favorite song is "I Could Be the One" because its all about God using the unlikeliest individuals to fulfill his amazing purposes. The song is comparable to the dance hits of Christian female group, ZoeGirl.
"Maybe I Won't Look Back" and "Bounce Back" are great too. In short, the album is worth every penny. It's the perfect combination of pop, R&B, and dance music with a message. Stacie Joy Orrico came to rock the house!!!
