Free Music Notes for 1996-2006 The SinglesFree Music Review: Definitely GREAT! Hit: 5 Stars
When I first heard that Staind was coming out with a greatest hits album, I was a bit surprised because it hit me from left field. Once I heard that it included several live acoustic tracks from a "secret" concert held in NYC in September, I was very excited. (Of course, I was a bit upset that I missed that concert considering I was eating dinner at a restaurant upstairs!!) The CD has some great songs. Yes, they could've put a few more, but then it would just be a box set of all their CDs!
One of the tracks that shocked me was "Come Again". I was thrilled it was included because it gives new listeners a chance to hear Staind's older stuff. A very different and amazing sound! I would say that my favorite part of this collection is the live acoustic songs that were included. Staind sounds incredible acoustic. Their cover of Tool's "Sober" is breath-taking. The power behind Aaron Lewis' voice and the rest of the guy's instruments is phenomenal. There is a version at Best Buy that has a few Bonus Acoustic Tracks. This is a MUST HAVE for any true fan or new fan. Do yourself a favor and go buy it RIGHT NOW! YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!
Free Music Review: The GREATEST Hits Hit: 5 Stars
Many people who aren't diehard Staind fans may not realize that they have been making music for a decade. So for some, a greatest hits cd may seem a bit early, but for us diehard fans, its not. The disc includes the hits form all of the albums that debuted at #1, and went on to be platinum. Also, it includes covers of Alice in Chains, Tool, and Pink Floyd, that only concert goers have heard before. These fall into to the category of classic. Played with such feeling and soul, you would think that they belonged to Staind all along. It's amazing! Go get it!!!!
Free Music Review: Worth every penney! Hit: 5 Stars
I have never really been a big fan of Staind, however I have loved certain songs of theirs here and there, but I am an overall Alternative rock fan. So I came across this album and it had all the greats that I really liked plus a few I like from others in acoustic versions so I got it. Wow, this is one compilation that will be tough for Staind to ever overcome! I would say the absolute best album they have ever compiled! This rarely comes out of my CD player!

Free Music Review: Staind Continues to Amaze Hit: 5 Stars
I cannot say enough good things about this group and their Greatest Hits album. Just when I think I know their music well, they continue to evolve and grow to levels that totally amaze me. Aaron Lewis' voice is without a doubt one of the best in rock music ever. His talents as a singer and song writer are totally mesmerizing and combined with the instrumentals, the sound is both haunting and intensely beautiful. Anyone thinking of purchasing this album should do so. Their music will be around forever.
Free Music Review: "Live" Staind is the best Staind. Hit: 5 Stars
The Singles album is great for all types of listeners- New fans get to enjoy one album with great songs from the start to now, Us die hard fans get to enjoy the jourey without having to pop in different CDs and like I said "Live" Staind is the best Staind. If you have ever been to a show you know what I am talking about ... The raw belting out of Aarons voice on the live tracks gives me my fix until the next time they come to my area. An absolute must have for anyone who loves, loves music.
