Free Music Review: Party rock 'n' roll really doesn't get any better!!

This is Metal. Proper Metal. Real Metal. Metal so real if you cut it it would bleed METAL. And not that fag false nu alloy rubbish this is pure Metal. Metal with a capital M. Metal with a capital E. Metal with a capital T. In fact the T is a huge Metal cross bigger than the other Metal letters. Why? Because on that Metal T cross METAL nearly died for your sins! But now METAL is resucuitat resserect reserr, Metal is back!
This is SO Metal. More metal than you can handle. This is more Metal than Mr Metal who worked in the METAL producing Metal factory making Metal \m/ o_0 \m/ where he met Miss Metal and then fell into a metal cage filled with metal swarf and he was pierced with Metal, real METAL. And he swallowed more metal he became Metal and they had you.
This is more Metal than YOU! More Metal than you deserve!

Musically this is utter perfection, on a par with anything from the very best of 80s US arena rock.
In terms of songwriting ability Feel The Steel is also a cut above. Highlights come thick and fast (as the Panther might say...): the riff to and ending of Asian Hooker are peerless, the call to arms of Death to All But Metal would do Manowar proud in its chest beating machismo. The first minute of Turn Out The Lights is worth the price alone.
Every reference, be it the blues of Great White (on the Uncle Cracker pastiche Girl from Oklahoma), the stadium pomp of Bon Jovi (Party All Day), the brainless, unintentional, witicisms of Kiss (Hell's On Fire), the sleaze of Faster Pussycat, the sugar glam of Poison, the interminable lighters-in-the-air balladry of Extreme or David Lee Roth's cheek; it's all top notch and you'll stay for the music long after the grade school toilet humour of the lyrics has passed.
That is Steel Pather's only drawback and what, ultimately will limit their success. Their tongue is definitely in the cheek but the one-track-mind and mysogyny of the lyrics does grate after a while. Indeed, it can't be long before someone gets there hands on the music and adapts the vocals to be more consumer orientated; it's a multi-million seller when they do.
But still, it is a 5 star masterpiece. Spinal Tap have been out Spinal'd.
