Free Music Notes for El CorazonFree Music Review: If Merle Haggard Had Good Politics ... Hit: 5 Stars
After Emmylou Harris' "Wrecking Ball," my favorite album of the '90s. No one song is likely to make my all-time favorite list, and yet I just couldn't stop playing the album.By the way, see Steve Earle live if you can. Whether he's with Del McCoury or his usual band, you will get your money's worth.
Free Music Review: Good Music! Hit: 5 Stars
All that I can say about this album is Buy It!! You won't regret it. Steve Earle is The "Hardcore Troubadour"....he makes beautiful, soulful, countrified roots music better than anyone out there today. This release is just about the best representation of that.[....]
Free Music Review: Only 5? That's being short-changed! Hit: 5 Stars
This one by Steve has so many nuances and additions to perfection that it takes a hundred listens to 'fully' appreciate it. Though, anybody with any taste at all will relesh it upon the first "harken". That's because it is poetry in 'Dylanesque' motion. Real good stuff!!
Free Music Review: A recording that matters. Hit: 5 Stars
There is a variety on this recording that very few artists could pull off.
But Steve Earle makes this work and you never think twice about it. An incredible recording that has not aged at all. This record belongs on the
high shelf in your collection.
Free Music Review: One the greatest artists around Hit: 5 Stars
El Corazon is one of Earle's best albums, which makes it one of the best around. Earle is an amazing songwriter, and it is shame more have not heard his music. He writes and sings some of the most powerful songs I have heard, and he ranks among the greats.
