Free Music Review: inspirational work of art
Hit: 5 Stars

this album is part of the secret jewel box set...it's not supposed to be the "ultimate vai album" that's gonna blow you away. any fans of steve vai should know this and should appreciate it for what it is - specifically, a collection of previously unreleased songs from films, nothing more. maybe if people did more research before they bought cds, they wouldn't feel so dissapointed when their expectations were not met. i personally thought it was a killer cd...you have to think like you're in the movie though...that's when you can really see Vai's true ability to write for whatever medium he is called to...it's very inspirational when you think like that.

just filler! the guitar is not a power tool, and playing it isn't an athletic sporting competition.even though this cd seems somewhat childish at this point in my life,in the 80's it would have lived on my record player.athough it lacks emotion in my opinion,i guess it's only supposed to be an out take cd and not to be taken too serious.if your looking for a fun cd,that sometimes can be funny this cd is worth your money,if your a 1st time listener to steve vai,and want to see a more serious side to his music, you might rather start off with david lee roth-eat em &smile, sky scraper, his 1st commercial solo release-passion&warfare,or whitesnake-slip of the toungue.

Free Music Review: At long last -- the "Crossroads" duel!
Hit: 5 Stars

This one's worth it just for the "head-cuttin' duel" between "Jack Butler" and "Eugene Martone" from the "Crossroads" movie. The duel scene from "Crossroads" was my favorite part of the movie, and the music from the duel was not included in the original soundtrack. So after nearly 20 years, the duel finally makes it to CD.

Free Music Review: Guitar Genius!
Hit: 5 Stars

So this is music from movie soundtracks,so it may not live in your cd player,SO WHAT?This is a fantastic piece of music by a guitarist that can more than hold his own with any other! If you're a Vai fan, this is a must own. If you like to listen to interesting music it's worth the price.

Free Music Review: Amazing

This cd is another great work of vai's. I love this cd. If you love great guitar playing, buy this now. I am in heaven (I just got this cd and joe satriani's new cd in the mail, and its driving my parents crazy). If you like steve's type of music, check out some satch too.
