Free Music Notes for Crystal Visions - The Very Best of Stevie Nicks (CD / DVD)Free Music Review: A Rocker Who Always Delivers Hit: 5 Stars
Once again, Stevie Nicks gives us her best. She always does because she doesn't know how to do anything less. This prolific singer/songwriter/poet, (I think of her as a poet), is truly amazing. I love the live versions of "Landslide" (my favorite Nicks song) and "Edge of Seventeen" with the Melbourne Symphony.
The videos are fantastic as well! Seeing the "Scarlet Version" of "Stand Back," especially with Stevie's commentary was hilarious. I highly recommend watching them with her commentaries. She's great! I had never seen the video for "Whole Lotta Trouble" another one of my favorites and I was there when she filmed it in Houston, Texas that night. I got a real kick out of putting the video on slow track in the beginning and seeing myself.
If you are a Nicks fan, this is a "must have." If you have never listened to Stevie Nicks before or don't even know who she is (hard to imagine), BUY IT. You will NOT be disappointed!!!

"Stevie is one beautiful and very talented Lady, and I do mean Lady." I have the Crystal Visions CD/DVD set and it is fantastic! I love her voice, I've grown up listening to her in Fleetwood Mac as well as her solo performances. "There's only one Stevie Nicks, they'll never be another." Bright blessings to you Stevie, keep doing what your doing as we all love you and think you are one very talented and beautiful Lady! One of your biggest fans and I know you have many. Best of luck to you, your music always takes me away from the stress of everyday life. I find peace and tranquility in your songs. Yours Truly Garry E. Free Music Review: Classic Stevie With Some Surprises Hit: 5 Stars
I have loved Stevie's music since the late 70's when she was with Fleetwood Mac and then her solo stuff in the early 80's. As other reviewers have stated most of her true fans will already have the songs that appear on the CD either from Timespace or Belladonna, etc. The real gem is indeed the DVD which brings back so many great memories of watching these vids at Happy Hour or in a dance club in DC back in my wild days. I did not know that there was a Scarlett version of Stand Back which was hilariously campy. The commentary is fun to listen to and her humor shines through. Another surprise was hearing Dreams to a club beat which is quite nice. So I would higly recommend this CD/DVD to her diehard fans and for new fans it is a total immersion into the rockin world of Stevie Nicks for which no one else compares.
Free Music Review: Worth the wait! Hit: 5 Stars
I just got this CD today. I'm listening to it as we speak. This is just not another "Best of" CD. Stevie really selected the perfect songs and/or remixes of her best songs.
I love the Deep Dish mix of "Dreams". My co-workers are probably going to kill me before the end of the day with that one.
The live track of "Rhiannon" is fantastic. One of Stevie's best performances of this classic.
I've waited a LONG time to hear the live "Landslide" & "Edge of Seventeen" w/ the Melbourne Symphony other than a choppy clip off You Tube. The strings on "Edge" are fantastic. I think thats my favorite cut on the CD. I'd like to see that whole Melbourne concert on DVD.
Speaking of DVD's, I haven't watched the DVD yet ...... I AM working ya know!
Free Music Review: bought it for the dvd Hit: 5 Stars
A Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks fan for over 30 years, I welcome any material that's new to me at this point. I love the making of Belladonna portion of the dvd but be forewarned this was recorded on old vhs tape and it shows. Even so, it's a pleasure to hear Ms Nicks in the recording studio and also to see her hamming it up. The Blue Lamp photo shoot was gorgeous and there's also a clip of Stevie dancing with graceful abandon. The package is well put together although I was disappointed in the booklet. The photos in the Enchanted booklet are far superior. I'm waiting for the day when an entire concert from perhaps the Wild Heart period is released, I know there are out there. I still love Stevie Nicks but she was at her peak in her younger days and we fans want more, more, more!
