Free Music Notes for EnchantedFree Music Review: Great Box Set! Hit: 5 Stars
I have loved Stevie Nicks ever since I was 12 years old. She is the best female singer ever! I really like this box set a lot. It has all her big solo hits, and some deep cuts as well. It also has a lot of lost classics like: "Gold," "Blue Lamp," and a great cover of Ricky Nelson's song, "it's Late". She also does a piano version of "Rhiannon". The only thing I guess I would warn you about is that this is a box set of her solo stuff. There isn't any Fleetwood Mac music on there except for the Piano version of "Rhiannon," so if you're looking for more of her Fleetwood Mac music. Then this wouldn't be the box set for you. However, if you love her solo work, I think you'll love this box set.
Free Music Review: Stevie Rocks More Than A Little! Hit: 5 Stars
Stevie Nicks, the Welsh Witch with the amazing voice has struck Gold Dust again with Enchanted! I love this collection! It is wonderful to finally get the great soundtrack music, b-sides, and demos without having to buy five hundred different discs! Battle of the Dragons has long been a favorite of mine, despite being stuck on an obscure soundtrack. I have two complaints with the set: First, I could have done without Gold and Whenever I Call You Friend. I would rather hear a few new/old tunes that are exclusively Stevie. Second: I dearly wish Christine McVie had done the piano on the Rhiannon version. Stevie's playing is, well, unpolished. Overall, this collection is a MUST HAVE!
Free Music Review: Still Enchanting Fans Into the New Millenium Hit: 5 Stars
Stevie Nicks has done it again! Enchanted is a great, great collection of Stevie's songs. This set is one that you can put on and let it play through. I favor the third disc, though, the b-sides and demos disc. Although, like some others, I could do without "Whenever I Call You Friend" and "Gold", songs like "Gold and Braid(live)", "Talk to Me", and "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around" more than make up for it. Every kind of emotion is expressed in this set and the way there is no rhyme or reason to the order of the songs is fabulous. Stevie has done it again. I would give it more stars if possible!!
Free Music Review: A CLASSIC!!!!!! Hit: 5 Stars
Enchanted is a really great collection of Stevie Nicks music. There is one track in the set from the legendary Buckingham/Nicks album. This track has never been released on CD before. The entire set contains classic cuts from every album, 2 unrelased live tracks and about 20 non-album tracks which were b-sides. Some b-sides were never released in the U.S. alone. All of Stevie Nicks' music in the set allows you to have your own interpretations with answers-in-waiting. There are never-before-seen pictures of Stevie Nicks. The set is a must have for every Stevie Nicks fans. It's like an open book for the whole world to read and use their imagination.
Free Music Review: All you'll ever need Hit: 5 Stars
Having been a fan of Stevie Nicks since I was on the edge of seventeen, this boxed set is a dream. Since purchasing a few weeks ago, this is all I've been listening to.
I had some of Stevie's albums back in the '80's, but they are long gone, so great to hear my old favourites again. Some songs I had forgotten about("Violet & Blue" from the movie "Against All Odds") and some I hadn't heard before("One More Big Time Rock & Roll Star", "Gold & Braid" & "Thousand Days").
This boxed set with it's gorgeous book of photos is a must for any Stevie Nicks fan or any fan of exquisite rock music.
