This 2 CD set has a pleasing combination of SRV's early, simpler sounding work on through his later inward looking songs.
For anyone who's had trouble with defective or missing disks; hang in there- this is a collection that's worth the wait. The good thing about any "greatest" or "essential" disc set is that there are NO dud tracks anywhere, and this compilation sure follows suit. If you don't know much about Stevie Ray or are a hardcore fan you'll be pleased with the broad coverage of Stevie's changing style in this presentation. I highly recommend it.

I own every SRV CD I did not buy this one but a friend lended it to me. This CD sounds better than the orginal the sound quality is out of this world. This is a must have for an SRV fan who does not own that much of him. If your looking to buy a SRV Cd this one if for you. This includes all his hits like Texas Flood, Pride And Joy, The Things We Used To Do, Change It, Voodoo Chile, and some rare recordings of some live stuff. These two CDs are packed with the highest quality music money can buy. It includes many famous tracks from their albums and live performances. The audio quality is excellent. Stevie Ray Vaughan is one of the best artists of all time, and this is an excellent compilation of his work. If you want a good selection of tunes by this artist, you can get it here. Hello everyone. I must tell you that this is the one and only CD of Stevie Ray Vaughn that I have. Before then I just listened to samples of his music on here. Anyway this CD, I think, brings the soul of Stevie's music. In "Life By the Drop", you can feel his energy that he puts into the song. Likewise, you can hear live songs like "Superstition" or "Voodoo Chile". You must get this CD.Free Music Review: Very good compilation

Wow! This compilation is very good. All of Stevie's 'essential' tracks are here, and they even put some live tracks and some obscure album tracks. You can see that a lot of time was spent carefully choosing the tracks. If you are looking for an introduction to SRV, this is the best way to start. Much better that the albums Greatest Hits vols I & II
