Free Music Notes for Essential Stevie Ray VaughanFree Music Review: Aptly titled. Hit: 5 Stars
The title says it all, "Essential". SRV will be missed by anyone who marvels at guitar magic. The music on this album is a huge cross section of Stevie Ray's work, and there are some real wonders here. I've even discovered a new favorite and my wife has become a fan too. Anyone who appreciates fantastic guitar work will love this album. Enjoy.
Free Music Review: Can't get much better than this Hit: 5 Stars
Purists will decry missing songs, but you can't complain about this collection of great songs. Stevie and DT have a timeless quality to their music that lets you listen to them over and over and not get tired of it. If you've only heard a few of their songs on the radio, you owe it to yourself to try the others -- you won't regret it.
Free Music Review: A wonderful compilation of SRV! Hit: 5 Stars
THIS is the SRV compilation to get, it's got all his hits and more! There are gems, throughout and all of the songs are just great! Also, the linear notes are great! SRV had a great blues-rock style and he was a guitar virtuoso. This is a must for any serious blues and/or rock fan. You won't be disappointed!
Free Music Review: Never gets old! Hit: 5 Stars
I had heard of Stevie Ray but this is the first time I purchased any material. Probably the result of more air time on a local Rock Radio station. I now have a collection of his works and others to load up to our stereo while on the road in the RV. Re-livin the old times!
Free Music Review: Excellent CD Hit: 5 Stars
His playing is phenomenal, his touch is incredible, and his singing is right on. The live version of Voodoo Child is unbeatable and The Sky is Crying shows why he is the tone king. Despite missing "Ain't gonna give up on love" this is a superb collection.
