Free Music Notes for Texas FloodFree Music Review: Unbelievable debut! Hit: 5 Stars
What an amazing album. "Love Struck Baby" starts it off and is one of their most famous songs. "Testify" is one of the greatest songs Stevie ever did. It shows you his rough, lightning-quick style and why so many became imitators of his playing. "Rude Mood" and "Lenny" are great, but are even better on the Carnegie Hall album for arrangement. "Texas Flood" is a great example of classic blues writing and another favorite of the masses. Plus, the five bonus tracks are great. Some live stuff and even part of an interview Stevie did in 1989, which continues on the other re-issued albums. Since this is the debut album, this is a great place to start a collection. And you will start one if you buy this, believe me.P.S. Try to watch live recordings of the band, where you get to see the energy they play with. Check reruns of Austin City Limits, or buy one of the many videos released.
Free Music Review: One of the greatest blues albums EVER! Hit: 5 Stars
In 1983 a power trio named Stevie Ray Vaughan blew us all away with the blues debut Texas Flood. Blues-rock was never any better. Not when the Rolling Stones had their glory years or even when Led Zeppelin released their amazing debut.(Before they turned metal.) This is the essential blues-rock album, and the key to enjoying it is the guitar. Stevie rips through each song with a long solo or addictive riff while howling into the mic to prove he got the blues. The best song would be Texas Flood, a song that would be an amazing opus on stage. The entire album is his most consistent with not a single bad song and blistering instrumentals. (including the soulful Lenny that will leave your heart heavy.) This is blues rock done better than ever. If this doesn't prove to you that Stevie Ray Vaughan is, next to Jimi Hendrix, the greatest guitarist ever nothing will. If you have a thirst for blues rock buy this right NOW!
Free Music Review: Una maravilla!!! Hit: 5 Stars

Free Music Review: Entrancing Hit: 5 Stars
Very few artists in a life time of the history in music have accomplished what Steve Ray Vaughan did in a short life. Stevie was a master. Stevie was an artist that played the guitar with such emotion and feeling that you knew he was not holding back. At times it would seem like no one existed around him while playing. He had the ability to draw you in with his music and not let go. His emotions , real emotions , were played to everyone. Sometimes it was joy , other time it was complete agony. Each time he played , it would not be different. Some of the things he did boggeled my mind. I could not imagine how Stevie could play so fluent with a guitar behind his head ; remenisent of Jimmi Hendrix. His playing , music, emotions would bring a tear to my eye and cause the hair on the back of my neck to stand up.
