Free Music Notes for Blues at SunriseFree Music Review: I put this album together on my own. Hit: 4 Stars
Being a rabid blues fan, I put this disc together with my own catalogue without having to spend the extra money. The tracks are all great selections of Stevie's slow burn style of blues playing, and I would HIGHLY recommend picking up Albert King's Stax recording of the same title, as well as "In the Beginning" to hear Stevie's mind blowing work on "Tin Pan Alley." If you want a good, concise overview of SRV's hard, deep bending blues, pick this up. But, and I can't stress this enough, avoid the easy way out and buy all of his other stuff, too!
Free Music Review: Stevie "Slow Blues" Vaughan Hit: 4 Stars
This guy could play the hell out of the slow Blues. As fans, we all know that. This CD is mainly made up of some rehashed, over-released, and alternate tracks, but all in all, it's a great compilation. "Tin Pan Alley" with Johnny Clyde Copeland helps to make this one another "gotta have it" from SRV.
Free Music Review: If you like Stevie you love this album Hit: 4 Stars
Classic Stevie, even though some songs are rereleased the album is excellent. If you are looking for a more powerful guitar I would recommand Live at Carniege Hall or In session with Albert King.
Free Music Review: Rare, Blus at sunrise... Hit: 4 Stars
One of finest SRV CD's including the title track. Another great guitar player, gone too soon.
