Free Music Notes for Songs in the Key of LifeFree Music Review: Beautiful, Inspiring, Chilling, A Masterpiece... Hit: 5 StarsHow can someone make something so beautiful? This is the One. This is one of the greatest albums ever made.
The richness of this masterpiece is the equivalent of Beethoven Symphony number 3 & 5 all in One package. I know that in the 1970's, American Cinema went thru a renaissance of masterful films. American music did not follow as well... But then you listen to this gem.
My god, how can ONE person come up with ONE album (2 CD's) with EVERY SONG being so wonderful? Every song has a message delivered with fantastic funk, rhythm, harmony and words. And what a great name for the name if album, Songs in the Key of Life, indeed.
I just bought ORIGINAL RECORDING REMASTERED. This is the music I want my children to know. This is the chocolate for your ear, mind and soul.
Whatever Stevie Wonder was on in 1976, I want some, Please.

Free Music Review: Never tire of this album after all these years Hit: 4 StarsI used to play this album over and over again. I still love all the music and it has held up all these years. I'm asking myself though whether or not to invest in the remastered cd or download my favorites as mp3 files, considering the cds price. I don't have high end stereo equipment so I may not even hear the remastered sound difference. At any rate the songs themselves are wonderful.
Free Music Review: the best Hit: 5 StarsAbsolutely, unequivocally, without a doubt, the BEST r and b album ever released. I have waited years for it to be remastered and then more years for it to hit the marketplace at a price I could afford ($27 is a little too steep for this music fan to pay for one cd).
This is the gold standard others aspire to.
Free Music Review: Great Concept Album, One of the Best of All Time! Good Sound Quality! Hit: 4 StarsNot only is this a great concept album by Stevie, it's also his best effort and it also stands the test of time to emerge as one of the best albums of all time. As they say, "the cream always rises to the top" and this is surely the case for this album. The version I have is actually made in the EU although I'm guessing the reason it has been described here as a limited edition is because of the fact that it comes in a digipak format with an excellent 28-page (not counting the covers)booklet with all the lyrics. I'm not sure if this U.S. version is identical to the one that I have but if it is, you are in for a treat as the sound quality is good due to the remastering job they did although not great which is understandable given the state of the 1976 original master and so some tracks have higher volume levels than others. However, the tracks are things of beauty and stand the test of time. Although there are "single" material in here, the only way to truly appreciate this work of art is to listen to the whole thing at one go. For the record, the "single" stuff that still sound good today are: "Sir Duke" and "Isn't She Lovely". The other standout tracks must be "Pastime Paradise" later ripped off to great effect for the "Dangerous Minds" soundtrack "Gangster's Paradise" and "Black Man" is a fantastic study in slap bass that would make Mark King of Level 42 proud. There is also a track on disc two that sounds a lot like Lionel Ritchie's "All Night Long." It's obvious that many, many artistes have been inspired over the years by this album and I sure many, many more will be over the decades to come. Very highly recommended.
Free Music Review: A great double record Hit: 4 StarsThis is definitly stevie at HIS BEST!! But there are some filler like the instrumentals but the rest are wonderfull. I recommend it.
