Free Music Review: in a room full of mirrors
Hit: 5 Stars

iggy pop and the stooges..a year after their fantastic debut self tilted album..the stooges bought out another highly drenched fuzz rock album...this album is called "funhouse"
i usually cringe at album titles but this one actually sums up the music on the disc ...it's rock and roll and the stooges were havin' a great time when they made this album you can tell from every single word iggy pop spits and screams every guitar lick and drum fill right to the pickin' of the four strings of the bass..in the mist of it all the mayhem you've got a 7 tracks of manic rock and roll..
well too the fun house..hope you're not too scared

Free Music Review: don't know this record? be embarassed!

Many rock fans will cite "Raw Power" or even the eponymous first Stooges record as their best, but this one has always been my favorite. This is music that cannot be heard loud enough, always moves me, and sounds like it could have been recorded yesterday. Though I was but a tyke when it first came out, I know what it was like to grow up in Vietnam era south-east Michigan...damn, this sh*t hits a real nerve. This is authentic urban blues music. Glad to be alive, but slogging through a world of dirt..."I been HURT!" The bonus tracks on this release are greatly welcomed. Easily one of the 25 best rock albums ever made.

I have been listening to FUN HOUSE since it was new, and 30-odd years later, there's still nothing like it. Every time I hear "t.v. eye", it just kills me! All devotees of rock's wild side need to get this ASAP, as it's the best release yet of this beyond-classic record. The second disc of outtakes is very kool and well worth the extra money. Also pick up Rhino's reissue of THE STOOGES, which is equally essential. Iggy Pop and the Stooges are long overdue for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and these new reissues prove it in spades: BUY!

Free Music Review: Stooges Deluxe adds only for worshipers

The pinnacle of punk rock. The desperation, edginess are part of the monotony. Hey, he didn't have a lot of fun. A friend of mine says he was reading about mythology and how the "dog" appears repeatedly in myths as a guide for someone lost on a journey. He should publish that. And who said this was simply prodding, dumb rock. The opening of "loose" is one of the great openings in music history. Added tracks are interesting once, but only for Stooges obsessives.

Free Music Review: One of the all-time greats!
Hit: 5 Stars

Anyone who doesn't like this album is a loser. I almost hate that it's been co-opted by the hipster sect of music fans since hipsters suck. True fans of this album rock out with their cocks out and spit in hipster's faces and STEAL their copies of Fun House from them because they don't deserve to listen to something so primitive and great. Don't try to "study" or "understand" Fun House. Just listen and have a ball.
