Free Music Review: Is there a "perfect" cd?

yup-this is it!1st off it is not punk, and some poeple mentioned being like 3rd eye blind..but the only simalarity i see between them is that they both make songs i like. if you want a comparison i do think that toad the wet sprocket"all i want" and "good intentions" are kinda along the same lines of stroke 9. This cd is one that really really grows on you! people mentioned lyrics being bad, there's only 1 lyric group that seems weird and that's the prechorus in one time.but it doesn't bother me when i'm singing along to it.one of the reason i love this cd is cus they don't have to be hard to be good(unlike other bands and how they just play loud music-not that i don't like it..but it takes more talent to do a cd like this) now to the songs..
1)Letters: the beggining sound you hear is a good way to start a cd. it's a catchy song
2)City life: i like it cus it's an answer to matchbox 20
s song "push".this one says "don't push me" i also love the begging chords of this song
3)Little black backpack: you probably heard this song even if ya don't know they song it..it's a wide range from slow in the verse to a faster beat in the chorus with it transcending in between. it's a song that makes you wanna sing along to it
4) Tail of the sun: i love the music to this. to fully enjoy this song you have to listen to the softness of the music when it's not in chorus. and the chorus sounds great(more so the 2nd time around then the first) one of my fav. songs on this cd
5) Washin+wonderin': this is the most original type of song on the cd. the first time i heard this cd this was fav song besides backpack(latter other songs overtook it thou)
6) Make it last: if you've heard letters you that letters goes "your puttin it down sounds slipping into songs". That's this song!! they have an awesome sound stoppage that comes together for the chorus with some great lyrics in there.
7) Are you in this?: this song recently(about a year and a half since i got the cd) started becoming one of my favorites on it. it's got a softness to it that i love, and they chords the play when they say"your feeling used again" are incredible to me.
8) Not nothin: they do i great job of just throwing chords around in a pattern on this song. and to me it seems like the song is about being confused-which i think is a great topic for a song
9) One time: it's got a bit of a soft rappish like to it in the verse. this song has an after effect on you with the way the do the chorus
10) Down: one of my fav's. it starts with a mellowish like verse and they put in lyrics that fit the mode for that.then they pick it up to become a more normalish like song. i love the way they do the "waiting" part on this song.
11)Angels: another one of my fav's. i love the beggining line and chords with it(they repeat it 3 times in the song). i also like how this song is about patients and how others can't make you do something.
12) Tear me in two: a great ending to the cd.i love the last verse before the final chorus and the music before that last verse.
