Free Music Review: The Great STYX Trilogy

Helllooo fellow Stygians!! This is a great choice of three styx albums to be put together. Crystal Ball- 1976, The Grand Illusion-1977, Pieces of Eight- 1978. I'm 16 years old, Listening to this great music. But I still enjoy the new music/bands as well. Styx is SO underrated. Especially now. They have had two recent albums, CYCLORAMA- 2003, and the most Recent, Big Bang Theory- 2005. Both of these albums should be checked out by all.
Back to the item at hand. All three albums have a great sound, no audiable "cracks or pops" like on the Lp. Each Cd comes with a booklet. the only disappointing thing abouth this collection is that they are the EXACT same CD as if you were to buy each cd individually. I bought this thinking that the cd's would be remastered even more that the styx cd's already being sold, I was wrong, but didn't mind. It is SO much better listening to styx on Lp, but it is easier listeing on cd's if I'm traveling, or on the road. This is perfect for someone who does not have these records on cd yet, but if you do, don't bother, no surprises.
on a side note. STYX HAS NOT LOST IT AT ALL. Even though Dennis DeYoung does tour anymore(which is a shame!), Styx is still Rockin' the Paradise. I went to go see styx at the Big Fresno Fair, That was one of the best concerts that I have ever been to. Styx ROCKS!!!

CRYSTAL BALL, THE GRAND ILLUSION, and PIECES OF EIGHT all in one collection ready to be ordered I think I've died and gone to heaven I have to believe that is true. These are 3 of their best albums. And if you haven't bought these yet buy them now because this is definetly worth the price tag this is some of the best music you will ever hear. This is the best band of all-time. You will get some of their best songs like "Blue Collar Man (Long Nights)", "Renegade", "Come Sail Away", "Shooz", "Grand Illusion", Pieces Of Eight", "Crystal Ball", "Superstars", "Mademoiselle", "Miss America", "Queen Of Spades", "Fooling Yourslef (The Angry Young Man)", "Sing For The Day", "Man In The Wilderness", "I'm Okay", and many many more. "Chronicles" is the best of Styx2, meaning that those 3 discs are the best of Tommy Shaw. Styx is no longer about good music,it's more like just how are we(meaning Shaw,Young,and whomever they can get to play with them) going to pay the bills, without Dennis DeYoung to carry us. Tommy Shaw coerced James Young to fire Dennis because he didn't like to do "shows" and now they have to find other has beens like REO to tour with to draw people to their shows. "Chronicles" are the best albums Tommy Shaw has been on, and that includes his solo drab. Go see Dennis instead his concerts have the good old Styx feel. Don't buy "Chronicles" and put money in Shaw's ego, buy Styx1,Styx2,Man of Miracles,Serpent is Rising, and Equinox to hear the Real Styx.Free Music Review: these are the classic styx albums by the classic styx line up

ive said this once,ive said this many times,dennis deyoung was is and will always be the styx everyone loves and knows.he founded the band, he sang, and wrote most of the hits.james young,tommy shaw can get whoever they want to play with, they can put stuff out,they can package, and repackage what ever songs they want.the band styx in the big picture will be remembered for the stuff that was done in this time period and til 1980
around paradise theater ,after that the game was over, music changed styx did what they could do. the only real hit the band had after 1983s KILROY WAS HERE was 1990s SHOW ME THE WAY which was again written by deyoung.egos are evil and this band as great as they were together, has too many egos and to me this band finished for good in 1999.whatever is left is just a fossil of what they were.i saw them with gowwen,he doesnt
have the talent or the stage presence of deyoung and im sorry my friends he doesnt have the voice.

How many times have they release the same 10 songs? I used to really like Styx and I even enjoyed parts of their last two albums (um... let me be clear here... the last two albums that weren't live albums or compilations or Styx-as-cover-band-garbage.) I actually "stalk" this band waiting for them to put out some more music, and I get my hopes up every time there is something new, but 99% of the time they've just released old songs AGAIN. I don't know who is buying these same songs AGAIN, but will you please quit so they'll actually have to put out some new music to make any money?
