Free Music Notes for Immortal VersesFree Music Review: before buying this album you'd "better think again" Hit: 1 StarsI first heard these guys on an FM rock station: the singal, "better think again". If your basing your thoughts on these guys sound, or what the rest of the album might be like from a radio track, (if it's the first time you've heard them) you'd honestly better think again. I totaly love the singal, reminded me of Lo-Pro with a little LP thrown in the mix. The rest of the album just doesn't justify that sound. The rest of the album, reminded me of bands such as Big Dismal, or Creed, but a little softer, and of course not as good as both of those bands. Of course the irony of all of that is, those two bands were on the same lable as Submersed. For all you Submersed fans out their who are angry at this review, I'm honestly not dogging the band at all, just the producer/lable for deciding to make "Better Think Again" the singal.
Free Music Review: Buy! Hit: 5 StarsSubmersed are an awesome band, and this album is even better than their previous offering. Highly recommended if you are a fan of bands like Breaking Benjamin, Alter Bridge, Taproot, Evans Blue, Dark New Day (as I am). Great vocals, pounding drums and face-melting guitar licks. I would kill for this to show up in Rock Band.
Free Music Review: Awesome! My new favorite CD! Hit: 5 StarsI really love this CD! Every song on it is great. They aren't all as hard as "Better Think Again". In fact, they sound a bit like "Saliva" on some tracks. So, if you like Saliva you'll love this more.
Free Music Review: Fantastic Second Release Hit: 4 Stars"Immortal Verses" is very good. Didn't like it that much on the first listen but have grown to love most of the songs. "In Due Time" is better than this second release but if you like Submersed, go out and get "Immortal".
Free Music Review: MAJOR LET DOWN! Hit: 3 StarsI bought "Immortal Verses" with high expectations...after listening for a while, I had to do some research on the web, because it sounds like a completely different band. Gone are the MANLY vocals of "Due Time"...gone is the NARLY lead guitar of "Due Time"(granted, their lead guitarist quit)...gone is the powerful studio mix(everything is way subdued)--I have to turn my stereo twice as high on "Imm. Vers." to get the same effect as "Due Time"...I really hope the band comes back around to their original sound...that's what set them apart! Now they sound like they're playing to a bunch of junior high girls(same mistake Nickelbak made)! I can't believe the rave reviews this new album is getting! Hello Somebody!!!
