Free Music Review: Sugarland--Engjoy the Ride!
Hit: 5 Stars

I'll do this by song.

Settlin'--I really like this song. It's remnicient of the first CD in the "get up and go" kind of tone. The kindof "there's more out there." It's very upbeat and although it's not one of my favorites, it's still very good.

County Line--Amazing. This song is the perfect one to turn up real loud and sing to. Very upbeat and easy to sing to. One of my favorites on the album.

Want To--One of the slower ones on the album, but also very beautiful. This one you've probably all heard on the radio, so I won't go on and on. It's gets a bit overplayed and I find myself skipping it after awhile, but it's still very good.

Everyday America--A very "nice" song. Good lyrics about, what else, Everyday America! "Visions of sugar plums and boxes of roses" is my favorite line. Otherwise, it doesn't have anything too spectacular about it. Still nice though.

Happy Ending--I adore this song. It starts out really quietly, but gets louder fast. Just the kindof whole fairy-tale mentality in a song and what we're all looking for. It's also a little less upbeat, but has a lot of meaning to it. My favorite part is the last few lines, with the background. You'll know what I mean when you listen.

These Are the Days--Nice slower song, but still with a beat. Not as much meaning with the lyrics, and not one of my favorites.

One Blue Sky--Possibly my favorite song on the album. I love the lyrics and the music. "Take whatever you can, girl, leave the rest for the crows." Enough said.

April Showers--Nice, slow song about love and keeping it alive. Not a fan at first, but it grew on me.

Mean Girls--My least favorite song on the album. It's upbeat and kinda fun, but it's too harsh for me. The cheerleaders in the background are interesting, but like I said, too harsh. Somewhat similar to "Mississippi" on the first album in beat and harshness.

Stay--I didn't think I'd like this one, but I've come to love it. It's Jennifer Nettles solo the whole time--she also wrote it solo. Make sure you listen to it all the way through and catch the chorus change at the end.

Sugarland--The mandolin at the beginning is AMAZING. Remniscient of the first album. Loved it. Gives the small town idea and the lyrics and music are both amazing.

All in all I'd say this album is pretty good. Not as good as the first--it's missing something this time around. But it's still well worth investing in--some of the songs on it are much better than the two they play on the radio.

Free Music Review: Sugarland Enjoy the Ride CD
Hit: 3 Stars

Now I have to say this album is not as good as the first one. The first one has better written songs. Besides Want To, Settlin, and County line the rest stink. They are either way to slow, or just dont have a beat. I like the upbeat songs they sing. Some seem to jazzy or bluesy for me. I was diaspointed in this cd i ONLY Play the first 3 songs then turn it off. I think if not for those three songs that i love id donate my cd to the library.

Free Music Review: Excellent CD
Hit: 5 Stars

This new CD from Sugarland is a very good CD and has a lot of stand out songs on it. Want To is one of the most beautiful songs that I have heard in a long time. I love their new single Settlin'. This song is very up beat. I do enjoy the ride that Sugarland has given their fans so far. Quite ironic about the title isn't it.

Free Music Review: great sophmore cd

Way to go Surgarland. They still have the same sound, even though thaey are a duo now. If you ever get to see them live do it. They are wonderful.

Sugarland did a great follow-up to their last cd. I think this cd may even be better than their last work.
