If you like Sunscreem, you'll be interested in this album. The guitars are not as prominent this time, not that this makes for a bad album.
Many songs make for good club filler. "Looking At You" is surely the hit on this album. "Secrets" sounds a little too desperate to become a hit. Lord knows what they were aiming for with "Cheng Cheng". There are a few instrumental songs that seem to float in and out and sound too much like each other. As usual for Sunscreem, any song with lyrics throw together neat phrases like "prison is only a state of mind" but in the end they don't really say much. By the time the ending song fades away suddenly, you'll wonder what just happened.
(Lucinda Holms has such a great voice, so who is this guy that talk/raps in some of these songs? I don't listen to Sunscreem to hear this idiot.)
I was hoping for more. O3 was a great start, if hit or miss. If they got more focused, they could make an album of songs as good as "Love U More". There are certainly a few on here ("White Skies" comes to mind), but I was a bit disappointed.
Lousy, wandering lyrics with a rousing chorus. That's Sunscreen. But if you just feel like dancing, what more do you need?
