This great Hollywood fairy tale is brought to life by the extrordinary Glenn Close. One of Andrew Lloyd Webber's best musicals because of its jazzy score and heart filled songs such as "If We Had Never Said Goodbye," we may rank "Sunset Boulevard" 's storyline among Webber's top shows compared to "Starlight Express" and "Cats" (Webber's desperate need for a lame storyline). But in the end, Andrew Llyod Webber's musical score is triumphant. This recording is the best compared to the world and British premiers because of (as stated earlier) Glenn Close, the star of this recording.
