Ron "Youngblood Priest a.k.a Superfly" O'Neal died of cancer. Bless him. He created a style and genre all his own. The term "superfly" is still used today. Buy the CD by Curtis Mayfield. This album soundtrack was written and composed by the immaculate, multi-talented, wonderful, musical geinus Curtis Mayfield this is an awesome soundtrack I like all of the songs on this album is "GIMME YOUR LOVE" this is the best song on here but my other favorites are :Little Child Running Wild, Gimme Your Love, Freddy's Dead, I'm Your Pusher, and many good other songs I would definitely recommend anyone who likes Curtis Mayfield to buy this album!!!!Free Music Review: 'Funk Pursuit' and 'Vintage' Style in 70's Curtis Mayfield

Now I, a brazilian 23 year old guy, almost post-student in Translation, see myself enjoying the wah-wah swing of Curtis Mayfield in 'Superfly,' a B-side movie which I, as well as other 'vintage lovers,' also loved as an outmoded but charming style. We're back to the question of 'Kitsch' in culture, and I think the fashion and shape of Mayfield's soundtrack is now being perceived more sharply in its context, just like any old good wine (isn't it the idea?)
